St. John's Media Day

Harrison very high on Sanchez, says he could go for forty if he wanted to. Sampson and Harrison very impressed with Hooper. Sampson worked with him to try to improve his own three point shooting.

I'm excited to see what Sanchez can really do. He was good at Monroe, i watched some of those playoff games and procity stuff, but he was always playing with guards who were volume shooters. He looked "good" in those games; had good passing instincts, a relatively soft touch, and he's obviously very athletic.
But he didn't jump out as the stud his teammates/coaches/scouts say they see in practice.
If he's half as good as Jakarr, D'angelo, Jay Williams, Watson etc say he is.. then this will be a really fun season to follow.

I would be very pleased if Sanchez's overally impact is similar to Brownlee's. Different players, but both versatile forwards who are skilled enough to run your offense through. Brownlee was an absolute matchup nightmare his senior year which opened so many other things up with his passing ability. Sanchez providing the same would be huge.

The best thing I've read thus far is that Jordan is highly touted by the staff as a defender. That is huge. Defense and rebounding is everything with this team.
We couldn't stop ANYONE at the guard position last year.
