St. John's-Marquette Game Thread

whats annoying is this is a game we could have won. We are improving, but at this stage in the season we cannot afford to have these droughts in the 2nd half

our interior defense is so bad. mo's got to stop auditioning for the pro's and learn to play both ends of the floor

Sad game team needs.. . a lot of help

Take a chill pill.

young team on road playing the #24 ranked team coming off two losses that can't afford to fall to 1 and 3.

Plus harkless and harrison were in foul trouble from 4 minutes left in 1st half

I don't know how much difference it is with Harrison out. They were down 11 at the time and the've been outscored by 12 since then.

When he got his 4th foul we were down 1. He played like 2 seconds after that.

Harrison fouling out obviously changed the game, we can't afford to have him sitting for any long stretch. I didn't like the call on his 4th foul, thought he slid past and avoided the charge, but the 5th foul was definitely deserved.

Our youth showed tonight in that second half. Turnovers led to easy Marquette baskets and once Johnson-Odom got hot it was a wrap. He's a senior and did what needed to be done, took the game over.

Tough night, but back to back road games and playing a savy Marquette team, not totally shocked they handled us. Thery are just bigger, stronger guys. We'll get there.

Anybody else like what Dunlap did tonight with Sir Dom? Looked like Dom was about to lose his cool a little in that second half when Crowder firmly blocked his shot and sent him to the floor. Dunlap called Dom over and spoke to him, calmed him down. That's great teaching. Play the game the right way.

Great first half by SJ!
Second half, we played like a freshman team playing the Marquette varsity.
Another game where Phil Greene struggled to run the point and not be able to provide any points.
Another game where Moe played soft.
Another game where GG was the man amongst boys for SJ.
Once D'Angelo fouled out with 9 minutes we had no outside shooting and the game was over.
Without Phil playing well, Harrison fouling out and Stith on the floor SJ basically had no backcourt. It was like playing 5 on 4 from the 9 minute mark.
Another tough lesson but we will upset Georgetown this weekend!

Looking forward to next season when we have a few more horses, crap like that 2nd halfl will not happen. Played a great 1st half-- lets re group and put a charge into MSG Sunday.
