St. John's-Arizona game thread

 This loss will be a great learning experience for these kids. I loved this game, despite the outcome.
 
i wasn't able to watch the game.....i noticed god's gift barely played....did he get injured?

Nope! He was ineffective while he was in there and the team was playing well. I guess the coaches didn't want to mess with the chemistry.
 
 I was back and forth with the Jets embarrassing themselves, but lack of depth killed us. I hope it's not a prevalent theme throughout the BE season.
Still, seemed like a fun game, the kids hung in there well.
 
 Nuri fouling out killed us. We are a very good tea, that will compete thus year. Zona

 It wasn't our depth that waS a problem. We are ALL freshmen and just lost a close game, nothing more.
 
D'Angelo Harrison is gonna smack someone at some point. A couple of 'Zona players brushed up against him during the final few seconds and he was said something to one of 'em. He also were giving 'em some stares. LOL

Tough loss, as it seemed we were on our way with all of the momentum with about 6 minutes left in the game. Lindsey quickly had two offensive fouls and that suddenly killed our momentum.

I wanted this game badly. Hopefully, we'll get a win tomorrow for consolation. Depth somewhat reared its ugly head, as we could've went man-to-man sooner with more bodies.

I love this team and we should get better with the possible help of Garrett and Cummings next month.
 
 I walk away from this one not feeling so bad. A loss always sucks, but this zona team is pretty damn good and our boys really showed a lot. This year is going to be up and down as we know already, but I think it will always be fun to watch these guys play. They did not embarrass the red and white (actually black and red :eek:hmy: ) at all tonight. Moral victories suck, but there is a bright side to this. We just need to get a little deeper. Maybe in December?

Depth. with 8 schollie players is a problem. Nothing we can really do about it, though.
It's all good. These kids look like players, definitely happy about it.

Those kids are winners. You can see it clearly. You can't teach that.
 
 I can honestly say that I feel good after a lose. played hard, with enery and came up short. this will be a learning experience and down the road they win this kind of game. on to tomorrow nite,
 
 Our kids are killers, Lindsey had a few phantom calls against him and he is our key player.n he made Josiah look like a baby out there. We lost because of a few bad breaks but nothing to get upset about. Great game...
 
Anyone else concerned about the "U of A" chants that could be heard? I know this was considered a "neutral" site game....but their fans were clearly alot louder than ours...
