Obviously, some schools have NIL payments for baseball players; alas we are not one of them
Only sport that NIL matters for us is men's basketball.
They like all other athletes are free to make their own NIL deals you know as originally intended not the hand outs it has become.
Along with real indoor facilities that allow them to workout and practice year round and more than 25 fans in the stands for games. The trend was always away from the Northeast but with NIL, even more so.
That’s is where our starting catcher from the previous year, Tate Ballestero (Keenan was the DH and the No. 2 catcher) went for his last year.
A bunch of the players boarded my lirr car in jamaica on the way in. The car was very full and they stood in the aisles. To a man, were dressed in suits, white shirts and ties, and all were polite and friendly.
It reminded me of something Jay Wright told when he was a speaker at freshman orientation for all incoming students at Villianova: " From this point on you are a Villanovan, and everything you do or say, whether on campus or off, at home with friends or with family, reflects on the university and yourself."
Congrats to what appears to me a really good bunch of Johnnys, who represent our university well. And who also won the big east championship last spring.
They also cheered loudly all game for our boys.
