Smith Potentially Out for Rest of Regular Season

I got distraught after reading this and went to the medicine cabinet to grab my 1 leftover Xanax that I didn't use for my flight home from Peru and then my buddy Marillac texted me assuring me Ayo will be good for 15-7-6. I took the Xanax anyway

30 minutes to comfortably numb

Think it is more Rick hyperbole. Next he’ll be giving out info on funeral arrangements for Smith because of his shoulder and neck injuries.

Our good friend AH pointed out that Looie was deliberately vague, distorted, or hid injury reports. Keep em.effing guessing was Looie's strategy.

Rick may or may not be doing this, or maybe just a little. Or a lot.

This is why you need a few capable bodies on the freaking bench, we had a one man bench.
Now that there's an injury, we got no bench.

Prey is a defensive stud, but 0pnts, Glover 2 minutes and 2 Turnover, Lefty isn't ready, Vince Blah.
Ayo is serviceable. Only 6 pnts off the bench. Pathetic

I will say this. We've had some teams that had such a shallow bench that after 7th man were not big east players. That osnt the case this year imo. Few teams csn sustain season ending injuries to one guard, no less two

I forgot all about Dunlap.

Now we got 0 B.E. players on the bench, atleast they aren't this year.

Vince is a liability and CRP doesn’t trust Glover at all right now. I expect we may see a few minutes of Lefty Sunday
Not really the point. I think when you publicly call a kid out by name saying they "aren't big east players", it's a personal shot at them that I would avoid. Last season some of our most respected posters intimated the same about Zuby. This year, Kadary.

Glover was a highly recruited freshman. In this NIL era where everyone is a on a one year contract, freshman on top teams may have to sit longer and develop before getting reps.

It's clear that losing two rotation guards puts us at a disadvantage, but what would you expect, a 5 star coming off the bench?

I'll leave it to Rick to decide who does and doesn't belong here. But for now it's unrealistic to expect roster players 10-12 can be plugged in and perform like starters. If they were ready to in the rotation today, they probably would have signed somewhere else.

Everyone who came here did because Rick develops players. I couldn't tell you who will or won't break through, but I also won't be as harsh to intimate they don't belong here.

ERIC !!!!!!!!!!

Not ERIC2 !!!!!!
Well didn’t expect to see this thread. I have a feeling this is just talk but regarding some of these injuries things have been a bit grey in letting us know really what is going on.

If it’s just a pinched nerve due to his spine needing adjustment, traction or mobilization and muscles spasms I wouldn’t think he would need to be rested the rest of the regular season. Now if it’s something more structurally involved like a disc causing nerve issues then sure this could be a problem for him and the team.

Didn't say Vince is not a Big East player, he may become valuable over time (i.e. next year) and I hope he does; what I said is he is a liability when on the court in these big games which is pretty clear to anyone watching.
I have no doubt Glover can be a Big East player; what I said is at this point CRP doesn't trust him out there which is clear from his playing time last several games when we could use some help off the bench.
That's what fans do on a fan web site - give their opinions on how the players on the team they root for are performing from game to game.

Was not specifically addressing you. Critique is of course what we do here, but some go over the line. Not even disagreeing with your assessment but I try not to guess what's in Pitino’s head. I love listening to him because so much of what he does is situational. It's what makes him a great coach.
