SJU vs Pitt Game Thread

I don't even know off hand...it's that bad. I was going to go the Louisville road game last time I was in Kentucky but something came up. The last game I went to may have been the G'town-STJ BASEBALL game at Citifield. I've seen a few games here in Florida of some of our targets over the last few years.
I''ll be up to attend the Super Bowl next year, and I am planning on catching at least one STJ game while I'm there.

like i said the prior week if we do not beat pitt and prov good bye tourney hello nit. if we win the following two then we should be able to afford to lose to nortedame then the marquette game is the play ourselves in game. personally i think we split . hope im wrong 3 of 4 and we are in no question.
I feel your pain Marillac. Haven't been to a game since the last visit to Pauley. When I first moved here I always made it out to see a game or two and even a couple of BET's but not so much anymore. I'll be in NY/LI the first two weekends in March but can't get to only home game. Wish that Marquette game was on Sunday instead of Saturday. That one I could have made.
If we beat Pitt, then I won`t be worried about beating Providence. All I`ll want is to one of the last 3 not matter who it`s against. Beat Pitt and lose the last 3 then I`ll consider it a choke job.
If we beat Pitt and put ourselves in good position at 9-6 then there just has to be a way to win atleast 1 of the last 3, especially when we`re talking about making the ncaa.
This game is our biggest game of the year including any of the last 3 games. Why?
We need atleast 2 wins before B.E. tournament, and I don`t think we`ll win 2 of our last 3 which makes this Sunday`s game freaking huge.
I`d like to see the greatest REDMEN behind our bench Sunday Chris Mullin.
I'll be going with 5 other relatives, can we make some noise, please? If that last USF game was a sellout, I feel sorry for the kids.

I want for at least when DLO hit his second three early when he looked at the crowd and tried to pump them up, i want to atleast hear some response.

While Harrison can play spot minutes at the point, we are better off with him playing a 2. This is why Greene is out there so much with Branch down. I do think that Bourgault is big enough to play the 3 and may be better suited as a small forward, that is if we have considewrable size and strength at the 4 and 5.
I agree Moose, but I did expect a better greeting for Lavin. Quite honestly, I was expecting a long, standing ovation. It would have been a nice gesture to acknowledge his loss and his return.

With Pitt's height it does matter, especially if we play man to man. Who would guard Adams if Obekpa doesn't start? Sampson? Don't want to have him pick up quick fouls. Pitt faced man defense last game, looked terrible. I'm still worried about Adams, Zanna and Taylor, no easy baskets please. If Obekpa doesn't start then I would expect Lavin to go with a zone. Hopefully, they don't get those wide open three point looks that we so freely give to the opposition.
