Where has it been announced that St. John's will not conduct on campus classes??
If St. John's cannot keep up with other Big East schools opening in September they may as well hold a going out of business sale.
Just as a point of reference, my daughter just graduated from GW. From spring break, in mid-march, through finals in early May, everything was on-line. The thought of asking for a partial refund would never cross my mind. Once again, the word "opportunistic" comes to mind with this kid and his family. Karma usually has a way of taking care of these things.
Monte, congratulations! My daughter just graduated from Fairfield, under the same conditions, never made it back from spring break. Never once thought of asking for money back. She eventually went to her off campus housing for 6 weeks to finish but all classes online. All the schools seem to be making the best of a bad situation.

Congratulations to both of you. Wish your kids the best. Hopefully things can get back to normal as soon as
possible as many universities will have a difficult time if students college experiences continue to change dramatically.

Congrats to Monte, Rm86 and any other redmen.comers whose kids graduated from college or high school this year. In many ways it will be a graduation they'll always remember.

A special congratulations to Jack Williams from a Steph fan to a Lebron fan lol!

Congrats Jack!! Thanks everyone, also have a daughter that is graduating from Kellenberg, been a pretty tough few months around here for them. All in all could be a lot worse.

I wish the young man good luck in his lawsuit, a tenured SJU professor who I visited during this pandemic stated you "how can you charge $50,000 for online classes this will not sustain itself"

Like I have said many times over the years SJU with there Vincentian tradition should be a leader in tution reform not in an arms race with Fordham and other schools as it relates to who can raise tuition more and get more student loan money from the federal government .Is it moral to indebt a 22 year old with over $100,000 in student loan debt?

Even if he dies has to be paid back.

Bobby use the damn endowment now. Take out 20% out now reduce tuition, keep your students at St. John's save the business, stop asking JSJ or Beast or others on here to donate more. Use your funds now, make proper cuts and save the franchise, do not wait till 5 years from now when SJU decides to go out of business. Strong powerful actions are needed.

Bobby be a leader!!!!!!!! This is not Fr. Harrington's St. Johns its yours.

Students may be able to apply for Covid relief from the federal government. St. John's also is receiving Covid related funds from the Feds. The tuition is for course work not for missing sitting on the quad with your friends.
A bigger issue is how will St. John's prepare for the Fall semester.

Give him a full refund for all classes he's taken at St John's and change every grade to "Incomplete, withdrew" on his transcript.

Let him find another school more to his liking where he can start from scratch.

Thanks RM, same to your daughter! Fairfield a great school. Beautiful town. My niece graduate from Sacred Heart. Looked at FF for my son. He wound up at Albany. My daughter wanted to go south and wound up 1st at Bama, which at least gave/gives me a winning program to root for, then transferred to GW after her sophomore year. Good move for her. Best wishes to your daughter in the future. Tough time for all the grads.

Thanks. My two oldest went to Fairfield, youngest heading to Big East Rival Providence. As a very longtime season ticket holder its a problem getting my Dad on board with this.LOL. His only comments were " at least its not Georgetown, Syracuse or Uconn"

seeing a lot of stuff online about SJU raising their tuition for the upcoming school year. Dangerous game they are playing
