IF we land Richmond and Omier don’t we still have one open roster spot? Maybe that’s where we look for some more 3 point shooting. Although, my understanding is Lefty and Dunlap also can shoot the 3?

Don’t count on much from Lefty this year. Yes, with that last ship I’d want an experienced guard who’s a sniper from deep.

If you're telling me the starting lineup is:

Omier, Luis, [Taylor] Scott, Richmond, Wilcher

and the bench is

Ejafor, Dunlap, Glover, Liotopoulos, Iwuchukwu

then I think you have an excellent defensive starting team, adequate shooting in the starting lineup with more off the bench if needed.

Of course I think both starting lineups and rotation would fluctuate based on factors including matchup, performance, and health.

However there are a couple of chickens in there that haven't quite hatched yet - but may by Orthodox Easter...

I think you mean Scott not Taylor....he's gone

This years team looking like 100 percent upgrade . Last year we needed bodies this year we want better bodies . I'm still shocked along w others we didn't make that tournament . But that's for another thread lol

Correct I meant Scott.
Paultz is also correct, I miss Glenn Taylor already.
However he is wrong about the "Shaka" part, the truth lies somewhere between Bob Huggins and Dan Hurley...
And somewhere to the left of Seth Greenberg :)

Even with the hoped for recruits, this team lacks outside shooting. Unless Dingle returns, there are no proven consistent outside shooters. You can argue Wilcher will be one all you want but he has yet to prove he can be. Even if Wicher does shoot well from 3 who else is there?

If you are going to compete with the likes of UConn or other top BE teams you better go at them with some shooters or come tourney time, don’t expect much.
Scott can shoot it

Let's see how many shooters we have once all the scholarships are actually filled.

Oh I didn't mean subbing in Dunlap in that specific lineup, just in general.

If the roster is what we think it is, I think we should all be less concerned about the starting five since Rick has endless combinations he can throw out there + a lot will be dependent on match-ups and practice performance. Rick also said Wilcher was the 2nd best shooter on the team so I think he's looking at him as a plus shooter.
I dont think the "starting five" means much in this context

I wouldn’t sleep on Lefty. In Europe he’s been playing against older competition a lot. I’m not saying there won’t be some type of an adjustment period but he won’t be overwhelmed.
I would submit that there is a rather large gulf between "Europeans a year or two older than him" and "Big East level players who are in their 5th or 6th year of college".
