Prediction: We land Jackson next, and then a name or two we haven't discussed yet. Not Lee. Maybe Lewis. But either way Sim plays a lot of pg for us.

And honestly, I think I'm OK with that. With Hopkins, Zuby, and Jackson we have 3 guys who should average near 15ppg. Sanon and Sellers will get their's. And Ayo, Vince, Ruben and Lefty are minor rotation pieces.

Jackson would be huge. I can live with multiple guys initiating the offense. Not every roster is going to be perfectly well-rounded, that's part of the transfer circus gamble.

I was/am very enthusiastic about Mitchell - despite the FG/FT numbers. Hope we find an athletic defender and rebounder to fill out the team.
whoever we do get instead, I agree he can't be a traffic cone on defense. But I am also bullish on Prey being one of our better defenders, wouldn't mind if the next guy we grab for the 3/4 position can shoot as well. Then again guys who can defend, switch, rebound AND shoot are guys like Jamir Watkins, carrying a hefty price tag, so we may have to sacrifice something

I don't see the need for a Mitchell caliber player in the frontcourt right now. Hopkins and Zuby already account for at least 60 of the 80 minutes per game at the 4 and 5. Then you have Prey and Vince. Do think we need another body for depth purposes in case of injuries and what not, but I don't think it needs to be a 7 figure $ player.

It definitely is a concern. So whatever the reason we are off him or he is off of us I think in the end all his good that he provides would be offset by this.

I like that he would build more size and rebounding back into the front court. We are kind of small even with generous listings for Zuby at 6'9 and Hopkins at 6'7.

I also really like Prey and Ayo and the thought of going smaller with the talented perimeter players we've added/are adding.

Mitchell would improve the defense of any lineup. He also would give us the option of goin absolutely huge for stretches.

I know Ayo is an option and I’m a fan but we need another wing defender for the 3/4 types out there. I know he’s gone but guys like Jahmyl Telfort

I can get down with this mentality but I think Bryce needs to lose some weight then. I guess it won't be mitchell, but like the idea of having someone that gives us a little more defensive flexibility at the 3/4 positions. Again, I like Prey for this reason, but wouldn't mind one more guy that can play defense the way we do, and also perhaps stretch the floor

I agree it would be nice to get a guy like Mitchell and you don't turn a guy like that down. But tough to get guys like that with the roster the way it's set up right now and I suspect that's the reason he's likely going elsewhere as others have mentioned.

Haven't heard much about Suljanovic the past few week or so but perhaps he's another guy that can provide some minutes at the 4 behind Hop and Prey while being able to stretch the floor a bit. I personally have no clue how much he'll be able to contribute in year one but if we're just looking for spot minutes wouldn't mind it going to a guy that can grow under Pitino and be here a few years
