Johni Broome played in the Ohio Valley Conference at Morehead State and was arguably the best player in college basketball this year. Just because Dingle “struggled” here doesn’t mean Lee would too. Look at the player, not the conference.

Could be wrong- by feel the OVC is a couple notches above the Ivy in terms of athleticism and comp… also I feel Big Men translate easier than guards.

Last two Ivy guards of note that I remember that transferred up - Dingle (here) and Wojcik (Brown->UNC)… he went from 15/7/4 to 1.5/1/0 lol…

Given Lee has combine footage , which seems to indicate he can compete… I’m not too worried… but def not a lock to translate

Umm. Kadary was always a PG. Every stop. Just because he has forward height don't let that fool you.

I watched most UNC games. Nothing about his game screamed PG.

True, but if you think this kid would sell out the garden, why won’t any of these people travel an hour to Princeton to watch him or when he played @Columbia?

I think you are overstating his potential impact. I’d expect a small bump in attendance.

Again, I’ve never seen Lee play at all.
1. I trust the assessment of Coach. The other assessments also have value.
2. It’s a match made in Economic/NIL heaven.
Why? The Asian Community will come out, if Lee shows out, even a little bit.
For example the Iona game would sell out as a singleton.
The replica jersey sales along with TShirts, hats, etc will be extraordinary. Lee is made for NYC and us for those reasons alone. He won’t have those financial opportunities in Gainesville.
If he can play, Coach will want him and close the deal. If he can play, he will be the next spokesperson for No Bull. And that’s no bull.

Playing in nyc is great and we have certainly captured the town. But the idea that this kid is going to have some sort of Jeremy Lin effect if he comes strikes me as fanciful.
