With so many slots to fill in next years' recruiting class, creating a mix of frosh and JUCO's will help us balance future classes
It also melds together players with some college experience to pair with the "newbies"
It could help us be more competitive right away rather than having to wait for the "kids" to acclimate to the college game

I agree. Not to mention, we should return our entire frontcourt when our '15 class arrives.

@jeffborzello Junior college guard Andre Spight announced earlier today he committed to Arizona State. One of the best JUCO guards in the country.
Wow that is unusually early for a JUCO to pop. We don't really have that luxury being so close with some elite guards. You don't want to scare off a kid like Briscoe for any JUCO regardless of the talent.
Say if he lands Briscoe/Diallo/Beasley/Sanders. Would that be a failure to you?Wow that is unusually early for a JUCO to pop. We don't really have that luxury being so close with some elite guards. You don't want to scare off a kid like Briscoe for any JUCO regardless of the talent.
Lavin must recruit both quantity and quality this recruiting cycle since St.John's will have at least 6 available scholarships this year.
Because Briscoe is believed by many to be a spring commit Lavin cannot hold off seeking commitments from other recruits.
Given the fact that over one third of the top 100 seniors high schoolers in this 2015 cycle have already committed then it is likely that Lavin will be required to recruit in the secondary market for junior college and transfers again as he did last season when he struck out for his top high school recruits in the 2014 cycle.

St. Jons has done well with the junior college players like Billy Godwin, Walter Truth and Blue Harvey, all of whom still contribute to the Red and White Fund.
I am confident that Mr. Lavin continues this success.

Have you given any thought to applying for now vacant personal assistant position to work side by side with Lavin Otis?
