Players, in addition to Lewis & Antoine, invited to SJU ,Elite Camp next Wednesday are Jordan Tucker of Archbishop Stepinac and Sidney Wilson, Isaiah Washington, Omer Silverio, Dallas Watson, Darius Lee and Nicolas Rivera of St. Raymond's. From the PSA Cardinals, Boubacar Diakite, Mamadou Dourca, Isiah Mucius, Bryce Willis, Aaron Clarke, Tristian Issac, Jose Prez, Ishamel Massod, Maxwell Lorca and Deandre Bourne have been invited.

2.Any chance a player will express interest and or commit?
3.who's the most likely to play ball w the Storm?

Class of 2020 guys Che Evans Jr., a 6-6 SG, and Justin Lewis,a 6-8 F, are at Indiana today and will attend St. John's Elite Camp June 8.

Mike Jarvis alienated the local high school coaches and then went out and said he would be recruiting jc players.
I don't really believe anyone was interested in what Norm Roberts said or did.
Lavin did not show up to high school games and rarely recruited local talent or any talent for that matter his last three seasons.
This staff is all over the local players as and from day one on the job. They are often out three deep. They are trying to rebuild bridges and relationships that were damaged over a period of 15 years.
In my mind the last point Paultzman raised is by far the most important.

Sorry, I do not know what I was thinking read it too fast thought we were inviting local college coaches Certainly ,very important and a great building block

" Familiarity and getting to know people , that is how it all starts". I agree with Coach Mullin 100% though some of our esteemed posters/ experts do not.
They believe it is not necessary to be present at games and that successful recruiting can be done via texting.
I have been following / attending games of a young lady who has been on Canada's national junior team for the past three years. Joey T or DAshena have been up to see her three times in the last 8 months. After the last visit both her high school coach and Cegep coached texted me to say St. John's is at the top
Of her list. Anyone who believes recruiting can be achieved successfully without the face to face contact of both player and coach is delusional.
This staff knows what is required to recruit successfully to St. John's and is putting in the time and effort.
No clandestine meetings in parking lots to get transcripts for them.
 
Article said we hadnt had one since 2011, didnt mullin and co have one last year? Remember a lot of big names from ny and nj coming to campus.
