Update today on Rivals states that we are a possible destination.

Interesting. Would have all his eligibility. Some on JJ say he's a lock for Iona but I don't know why he'd do that. He's a higher level D1 talent and IF SJU is interested, it would be a great fit for him. .

There is ONE guy there named Baldi who I think is a moderator who is an Iona fan and has basically turned JJ into a quasi-Iona fan board. I am not sure if Iona has one of there own. LOL!

Like MoMo, I am sure Johnson would prefer SJ but he may be more trouble than what he is worth according to some. I will reserve judgment until SJ makes an official offer.

Biggest point of what you linked there was that they plan to petition for hardship transfer so he can be eligible 1st semester next season.

He's a higher level D1 talent and IF SJU is interested, it would be a great fit for him. We need frontcourt help, and it's a lot different playing in the Garden against legit competition than at Iona, and I know they're quitter good this year.

I still believe he could come in and compete for the starting 5-spot at SJU and not interfere with SJU's recruitment of Gathers, Sampson, Obekpa, Pelle. It would be Sidiki and God's Gift alone at the C spot with GG being a senior. Sidiki wold have little PT problems to contend with. I mean, he'd still have to compete for minutes over next few years, but he'd get plenty of time.

Do you need a smiley face? of course I am joking! The simple point is the fan site loses credibility when a moderator is poisoning the well and asking folks to comment on his 99th poll about IONA!!
The motto "keep your friends close, but your enemies closer" does not work with sports fans. LOL!

As far as poisoning the well, some folks that know Sidiki think he has a negative attitude .....just what we need with a young team. The staff better be hitting the high school and JC gyms for some talent that mid-majors are landing for 2012 and stop wasting time with guys that could not cut it at 4 different high schools.

I wasn't sure if there was another stop or three between those two schools.

If he wasn't splitting time at his position, in addition to sharing the ball with four other D-1 guys every time he was on the court there, I'd probably multiply those Oak Hill numbers by 2.5 to get a more accurate picture of his talent.

I watched Cooley pretty closely on Saturday and he seemed to be paying more attention to Ledo than Jakarr.
