Should the Johnnies make the Dance this year, in year four of the Anderson regime? And if not, then what?

Have to make the tournament this year, it's the absolute minimum of expectations for an experienced team that's returning 8 guys, 2 big portal additions and a stud freshmen. Don't know what more you could want out of a roster for a program like ours right now.

It's the best team Anderson will field from a fit perspective. So yea, make the tournament. Not a tough ask.

I think not reaching that bench mark in year 4 is unacceptable, and I don't think it's unfair for that to be the bar.

I’m anxious to see what we’ve got.

Just passing along what I heard from someone who is connected to someone with connections to the program so obviously take it FWIW but CMA needs to make the NCAA T or ... else?

I am forever hopeful, but unless someone emerges I do not think we have enough ability behind the arc to win and would be surprised if this team dances. Again, I am hopeful but jut not sure. Guess that's why they play the games.

Wisdom of the crowd type thing suggest our most likely outcome on the bell curve is a middle of the pack finish in the Big East and a 40-50 finish nationally which would put us squarely on the bubble. It’s probably equally likely we finish 3rd in the BE on the fringe of the top 25 as it is we finish 9th.

Basically there’s a big range of realistic outcomes with this team and I wouldn’t be surprised with what happens, good or bad

If we don’t make the big dance we should cut him loose! He has had enough time to get the job done!
I happen to agree. Cause think of it this way, if we don’t make the Dance and we lose Soriano, possibly Posh etc. will they ever be good enough to make it? Last year was a wasted opportunity with the likes of Champ and Wheeler that many have attributed to COVID but this year with the perceived talent on this team we should expect to Dance.

We will enter another rebuild era with another wrong hire
Well if this season does not yield a Dance invite, why would you want to stay with a rebuild that’s not working? I’m hoping this season does yield an invite but the two areas that must improve to do so will be long range shooting and half court defense.

Johnny Rapper, I understand what you’re saying but I think that you also have to take the incoming recruiting class into account. We already have Gardener and let’s say we also get Cherenfant and Aaron Clarke, is that enough to keep him here?

Other than Creighton, Nova and UConn, I think the rest of the spots in this league are up for grabs. I do think if things break right for us we can finish 4th in the conference. If that’s happens it’s a moot point.
