The good news is, if we lose, and this is a short-term, the NCAA committee might be willing to overlook it, come Selection Sunday.
Much like the selection committee doesn’t give credit for close road losses due to decisive bad calls, they will not consider the coach’s absence due to Covid in 2024. This is a straight up bad break

I’m sure Pitinos staff can manage and he will be relaying messages I’m sure but it’s still not the same without him he knows exactly when to use his timeouts.

Here we go. Our resident snowflakes are running around like chicken little.

I am sure Pitino will be in contact during the game. Even SJU has moved past communicating via cups attached to a string.

Holy smokes! Relax. You can pee standing up again.

They considered Jim Boeheim's 9 game suspension when they put Syracuse in a few years ago.

When they made us the last team in the 2019 field, the chairman said on television, that the committee discounted two of our bad losses, because of injuries.

It's happened before.

“Was told Rick Pitino started feeling symptoms Thursday. Tested negative Friday and Saturday. Didn't go to practice Sunday. Was at practice Monday and was feeling better. Then, after shootaround today, started feeling sick again and tested positive. Also, Jordan Dingle has COVID, per source.”

Live look in the St. John's huddle.

Let’s run the Fence boys but , don’t get caught watching the paint dry .

Not only will I refuse to budge from my prediction of a 14-point win, I am now predicting some career highs for Wilcher in front of friends and family because Mas will be slower with the hook.

71-57

I’d bet they were tested for everything from the flu down. Hopefully we isolate it to tonight. I’ll take it as a good sign that coach was sick since last week and felt good enough to practice

Just to take everybody's minds off of this setback, has anyone noticed that the FOX network marquee game every Saturday has featured St. John's vs (fill in the BE team blank)? We must have impressed the FOX Sports people, somehow.
