Season Tickets

I think if msg only pkgs get priority points, then its a matter of total points gained through donations. There are some huge donors who sit on the floor at MSG who don't get CA tickets.

Since you only earn 100 points per year, and points earned as a STH only count for consecutive seasons as a STH it doesn't amount to a hill of beans.

If all your points are from season tix, no matter full or MSG partial pkgs, you're not in great shape. 25 years as a STH get you 2500 points. However, someone attending only a few paid athletic department events over the years will have more points.

Bottom line: Even a 5-10k donation will allow most folks to keep their seat locations until the next reseating, which vould be 20 years.

Note: Folks in the new seatbacks at CA will pay considerably more for those seats, as much as seatbacks on the other side of the court.

Since we are now watching professional basketball with a reported payroll of 7-9 million, I'm expecting an increase in ticket prices. The only thing keeping prices reasonable is the desire to sell more msg pacckages.

I have season tix to St. John's, Miami Hurricanes, NY Yankees, and flirting with NY Jets.

I just want the bill. I have the money to get the seats I want, where I want. Points, NIL, Red/White, etc. is just silly stuff.

Charge me. I pay. That's it.

It was on the website, first paragraph. I’m at a stage of life where I don’t even consider an extended warranty, so I’m shrugging at that part, but it’s stated.
The thing is, since they have had a hard enough time figuring out something as relatively simple as 1) how many consecutive years you've had season tickets, and 2) how much you've donated to st johns if your lifetime, I seriously doubt they could do this annually.

If they did, i generally have a problem when i sit near assholes. This happened a few times this year when i opted to buy seats to sit with family. Multiple categories

1) people who use or shout vulgarities all game long, because you know, it's their right
2) drunks
3) people that don't stfu either ignoring the game, or who are explaining things to their friends and don't know wtf they are talking about
4) negative people. This year at the last 3-4 msg games this older woman didn't shut up all game and just spewed negative stuff about players or that we were going to lose
5) fans from other teams who are assholes

Makes me miss my former CA seats in the bleachers when I was surrounded by a large extended family from the Rockaways.

I just want to sit around decent sju fans even more than having better seats.

I know I know. 114

your 1-4= 114. We embrace it but don't talk crap about our own kids :)

More than where we all end up this has been a consistent discussion point with many of us - we like our neighbors and don’t enjoy being separated.

It is what it is and will be a new negative aspect of the experience. I’m not arguing against a good team trumping all, and that SJU has to do what SJU has to do, but that doesn’t mean something isn’t being lost either.

Things change.
