Season Tickets

My only complaint about the points is if you had season tix during the Norm years every year of Norm you should have gotten credited 10x the points count for other seasons.

And for every game Mullin sat on the scorers table or stood outside the huddle watching St Jean coaching that should be a 1k bonus per occurrence

and for every time Mullin bent over and tied his shoelaces, another 10x points.

Question, for guys who completed the process. Would someone dissatisfied with the CA inventory be able to switch to MSG only?
I think there's only a couple of games being played at CA this season. So you could just select the cheapest CA option available (which I believe is less than $100) and combine it with whatever MSG section you want (assuming it's available.) You can mix and match price tiers at the 2 arenas.

Ah I was still talking about season tix. I had upgraded from msg to full season and still got put on August 20th (w/0 points on my jonnies).
I really sympathize with you. Hopefully msg only go before new new. For a lot of STHs especially those in CT, upper westchester, or NJ, CA is inconvenient.
MSG only people got Zero points whether you were a big donor or not is what they told me, ONLY Full STH got points.
That kind of makes sense in some sense that a donor who had never attended games was not permitted to.jump the line ahead of season ticket holders.

In some regard msg only ticket holders made a value decision to purchase only the better games at msg. Many full STH felt similarly and stayed home from CA games. So I do feel that those with full season tickets should choose before msg only, but do agree msg only should have gotten maybe 1/2 the points per season. Then again full STHers would be upset if a bigger donor upgraded to full STH and then jumped the line.

So really no system is perfect. But if it weren't for Pitino, big NIL supporters, and Storm Marketing, we'd still be in the dumper and demand would be flat.

Yeah, but nooobody kept receipts on that like you did. Too bad you couldn't spin this into some way of getting your own personal AC for CA. ;)

I was zero of the first example and one hundred percent of the second example. I guess that averages out to shut up and get back in line IDRAFT you are where you belong.

Giveaway says McCallen Society, which donor leave St John donations in their wills.

I guess the fans are to help scatter your ashes. Useful appropriate gift.
Yeah, it was a combined event. It was easier for me to just type Loughlin than the other one.

I was also interviewed so keep your eyes out for my scintillating words of wisdom, fueled by Heinekens, hot dogs, hamburgers and potato chips.

The interface was fine. Better than I expected. Actually much better to choose seats than dealing with the reps over the phone in years past. Was a little wonky having to checkout twice. Especially considering their video tutorial first few screens were NOT what I had.

That said the whole communication leading up to everything was a train wreck. Work on that.

The question we need answered is:

How many posters are going to have to change their names?
Possible candidates:
SJU Center Court
Section 9
Section 3
:ROFLMAO:
The SJU Center Court name will NOT be changed.
Picked my seat yesterday and remained in same section however I did have to move 8 rows further back.
Not great but not terrible.

I think allowing everyone to buy a max of 6 seats was very unfair to many long time season ticket holders.
Max should have been however many you bought in previous seasons.

I hope (but doubt) that Ed will be a guest on one of the podcasts to review the results of the reseat and answer questions like the above.

I believe their goal was to sell as many season tickets as possible. Folks who increased their ticket amounts would not have done so if the extra tix were put to the end of the line as they would not be seated together. Not saying that's good/bad or right/wrong. I have no dog in this fight. But I understand it's not ideal for long time mid market season ticket holders.

The other way this becomes problematic is if those folks who are buying extra tix are doing so on a speculative basis for resale based on potential ROI on what is believed to be a hot ticket this year. That would be deplorable but kind of indicative of our times.

There's ways you can prevent people from selling tickets to third party sites. I got discounted tickets from a Mets promo and realized I couldn't make it, but Stubhub didn't allow me to upload it due the ticket being from a promo. STJ folks should be able to track where these tickets are being sold third-party and take those seats away. Duke is very strict about it.

If they want to be ahead of its time, maybe they can create a program where they can offset the cost with the person, and then "sell it" to a student or someone in the program.

Yes, I am aware but that doesn't mean folks won't try to find workarounds. There's ways for venues/distributors to monitor resale even if the firewalls you mention are not available. Are there specific terms about resale in the season ticket terms and conditions? I would hope so otherwise there's the team could legally do about it.
