Sears

I remember Sears playing well that game and thinking he was motivated by Steere's becoming eligible. That was back when we all thought Steere would contribute. Oh well.
 
Sears tore his ACL a few years ago. He fought hard and eventually got back on the court. But, IMHO he'll always be a half step slower than other D1 players.

Knee injuries have limited or ended so many players careers. I feel bad for these athletes. Surgery today is a lot better than thirty years ago when I played. But an athlete is never the same after tearing an ACL.
