Who’s the first poster to suggest we hire him after we lose a game next year...

Duke of Earlington has my vote :)

Would Kevin Willard be seriously considered ?????????

Would Ed Cooley be very tempted, if Zona showed an interest ???

Willard would be a good choice for them.  I don't see him as an Arizona guy, but judging from his recruiting at Seton Hall, he would likely put a strong team on the floor.

is Pitt 100 percent happy with Capel? Because if not, I'm wondering if a Pittsburgh native suddenly on the market makes them make a move.

Willard would run to that job.  But do you see a scenario in which Arizona hires a coach with 1 NCAA win in 11 years?
It is so much easier to recruit at Arizona. He's proven he can coach lower-ranked kids already, so I don't think it's a stretch if Arizona actually did some homework. I feel like they are shooting for a way bigger name than Willard, though.

I think he’d do well there. He hasn’t recruited that well before this year. He’s been good at maintaining continuity and developing certain kids. The only class before this recent haul that was noteworthy was the IW/Delgado group which was of course driven by the handlers-assistants. He parlayed that into success after failing for his first 5 years. The floor was solid but the ceiling was never that high. I think he’d get kids there but I’m not sure if Zona is going to hire a guy with 1 NCAA win in 11 years.

Making Plays: What's the buyout on Mussleman's contract? I haven't seen a list yet, but I get the feeling there would be mutual interest.

Per watchstadium... If Musselman leaves Arkansas, he’d owe Arkansas the following liquidated damages:
  • $5 million – Through April 30, 2021
  • $1.5 million – May 1, 2021 through April 30, 2022
  • $1 million – May 1, 2022 through April 30, 2024
  • $750,000 – May 1, 2024 through the end date of any extensions

If Arizona wanted to make a move would have to wait until the end of the month, however rumors around here is he's about to get a huge pay raise and AD is going to try to lock him up long term and I doubt Arizona would match what they are going to offer him, and Arizona is likely to face more sanctions and probably more post seasons bans so it's not really as attractive as a job as it would normally be.
