Moose, has Harrison or anybody connected with the program ever mentioned Harrison looking to leave after this season?

If I recall correctly, I think Harrison told redmannorth directly that he was on the two-year plan. And that was before he went out and became one the nation's leading freshman scorers.
He's too good to not play somewhere in the world, so if he's made up his mind about leaving, I think he does. If the NBA doesn't want him, Spain or Italy will.

The staff would like to bring in 3 newcomers in 2013 (maybe, they feel good about their prospects of landing 3 kids), so I'm guessing they have a plan for the 3rd open 'ship, however they can get it.
Personally, I hope Harrison stays all four years and no one transfers. Nevertheless, look for two (at the least) or three (at the most) newcomers next season.

Obviously would rather have Harrison for a 3rd year than any incoming reruit. However Lav has us in great position with Jordan.
Harrison isn't going anywhere. He is not even on the NBA radar. He wasn't even listed in the top 100 players. I love the kid, I predicted he will score 40 points here before he leaves, but he is not close to a professional player at this point in his career. He will probably need every single one of his college games to convince an NBA team to take a chance on him in the second round.
Watch BJ Young play for 10 minutes and then look watch our boy Harrison. Their ceilings aren't even close. I think this NBA talk by our fans is going to do nothing but hurt us when D'Lo gets his head filled with those expectations. If he leaves now he'll be playing in Europe and he'll never make the league.
I think most fans on the board do not believe Harrison is ready to make the leap (to the NBA). Just because one speak about it doesn't mean they believe it's a good move. Frankly, I'm one who believes he should stay at St. John's throughout the duration. He's not ready. He probably won't be ready even after doing four years at St. Jonn's.
But, if he has in his mind that he's done, then what can we do. Hopefully, he does the smart thing and finish a stellar four years in Queens.
And he wasn't but he has two things Harrison doesn't; size and athleticism. Not that Harrison is a bad athlete but he is not exceptional. The NBA is very tough for guys like Harrison, I believe he is a European player and he seems to be self-aware enough to realize there is a good chance that's where he will make his money.
The point is guys are saying he won't go after this year because he doesn't have the size and/or skills necessary to make it in the pros. I'm just sayin' don't discount him going, even if he winds up in Europe. He could make a good deal of money if he has an eight or ten year career playing in the top leagues over there. Works for a lot of guys.

I don't doubt that D'angelo plans to go pro, that's a great mindset to have.
But it doesn't mean anyone's going to draft him.
And Moe is a terrible comparison because he grew nearly 3 inches over the summer. Nobody thought 6'6 Moe was an NBA prospect.
When he played his first game at 6'9... bam!, instant prospect.

Whether he is/was ready is irrelevant to the fact that he got into the first round, guaranteeing his money. I didn't see that happening but was obviously wrong and good for him. I don't believe Harrison will go in the first round but I also have no doubts he could turn pro after this year and be very successful in Europe if he doesn't latch on somewhere in the NBA. Harkless was drafted on athletic 6'9'' potential, that is not going to happen with Harrison.
