Sacred Heart, Wed., Dec. 6, 7p, CBSSN

Good opportunity to get the you g kids some playing time. Neither freshman did much w their minutes tonight.
I thought Wilcher had some nice passes. He had a dime to Alleyne for 3 in the first half that Alleyne missed. I like how he doesn’t force things and more guys touch the ball when he’s at point.

He had his share of mistakes too as expected.

Sacred Heart doesn't play anyone taller than 6'8" so should be able to dump it down to Joel all night and have him swing it out for open looks if they double him.

Know it will never happen, but would like to see Wilcher and Davis split the entire 40 minutes at PG against an opponent like this. Play Jenkins at SG and SF.
The problem is Jenkins still needs some work as well. At this point I think he is going to be challenged with the level of guard play in the Big East.

They beat Holy Cross
They seem to spread minutes and play 9 guys
They score the ball, good shooters it seems and rebound well for a team that isn't big.

Don't get complacent. Strong start and keep foot on the accelerator. Don't let up.

Yeah this *could* get ugly especially is Ledlum is not physically up to BE Starter levels (he hasn't looked it yet). But if Luis is back...ah who knows at this point

One of the best, if not the best, acted scenes in movies by Pacino
In terms of GF, I know way too much about a fictional movie. Pacino wasn't doing well in early shooting so Coppola decided to shoot this scene out of sequence. As Coppola anticipated, Pacino was brilliant in this scene and from that point on stood out and strode around in confidence. A great pre-line to this scene was "Are we going to NJ?" which was so brilliantly delivered that GF fans have argued forever whether Michael really was frightened or that he pretended to be.

As for this game, I'm curious to see who Rick plays. We are approaching BE season and will either continue to give less experienced players more run or begin to play the impact players more. I'd bet on the former, but who knows?

What I do believe is that the bench rotation will shorten when we play Xavier, but again I'm just enjoying the symphony and Rick is the maestro. Getting his high ceiling young players ready important if we are to play March bball.

A game they should win. Of course, a good opportunity to get everybody some playing time and get more playing time together as a team. This year these games feel much more significant because of the roster overhaul. Conference play is right around the corner.
