Rysheed Jordan Media Availabilty

He may not be cleared to talk to the media, but he has a TON to say on Twitter. Anyone who follows his account knows he is 100% leaving after this year.

I would hate to see Rysheed press too hard just to be "the man" this year. All other players seem to be talking "team". I think Rysheed is a good guy, but there is a maturity factor that could bite us.

Really? You think it's a 100% chance he's leaving because of some cocky tweets?

I do. Have you read them?

I think if the staff lands everyone they are gunning for, Jordan would receive a subtle push out the door whether he's ready or not.

I think you're crazy!

Lavin would never push Jordan out the door. We could play a 3 guard lineup. We saw Sampson leave this year,so it wouldn't be surprising to see Jordan leave ,even if he wasn't a 1st round pick.

And I think the staff is specifically targeting kids who aren't huge pains in the asses for a reason

What makes you think Sheed is a pain in the ass.

Well if he wants to be like Sampson and leave early before he is ready, and hopefully end up in the nbdl make 25K a year then all power to him!

It is very possible that Jordan can leave at the end of this year. He is the most talented player on the team and if he puts it together, he can have a break out season. At that point, there would be nothing left but to go into the draft

Unless I missed news of him being cut today, the last I read was the coach of the Sixers saying he has a real chance of making the team.

That's just coach talk. This board should know about that better than anyone. It's similar to how Lavin said Obekpa will average a double-double.

What do you expect the Sixers coach to say...."That Sampson is a good player and a hard worker, but we just don't have room for him, so we're going to cut him in about 2 weeks."

And so was Lavin targeting Dominic Artis just for kicks? Because surely he would bring no baggage with him, right? Look at Harrison a couple of years ago. Look at Obekpa- is Lavin going to push him out the door, too? Half of these elite kids are pains in the butt. No way, no how, is Jordan getting pushed out of anywhere.

Personally I don't think the kids should even be giving interviews. Any of them

But public speaking is important in life. I can't memorize anything and I don't like reading off a script. I don't even try to when I do meetings. I just know the general direction I want to go and wing it and I actually prefer the q&a after

But if I had to do a memorized speech I'd be completely screwed.

You describe my style of speaking to a T. Do a lot of it and very very broad, general bullets to give direction and flow are all I use.

these kids don't always do what's best for them.

All you need is a teleprompter. I know an important person who does that really well, but when he tries to wing it, he is completely screwed.

A lot of coaches will accept baggage if the kid checks it at the door. Baggage coming into a school and being a pain while in school are two different things. And I specifically said "subtle." No one will tell him to leave out loud, but no one will be begging him to come back if Briscoe and Sampson land here.
