Ryan Rhoomes, PF - FORDHAM

He's taking online classes to qualify, is that going to fly with the clearinghouse?

Also, anybody with a scouting report? I know it's been a whilee since he played, but I was never that familiar with his game.

I have seen him a number of times.. To me he is just ok.. Not very athletic but he is a legit 6'8 and rebounds well. Not so sure he is a big east talent.. But if we strike out on Chandler, Sanchez etc.. I suppose we could do worse.

What do you think about Dwayne Brunson? It looks like he went for 17 and 10 a game at Barton C.C. this season. Not sure if he signed anywhere yet.

Brunson is more athletic.. but not as good as Rhoomes to me.. He is also shorter than Rhoomes.

Brunson has a better offensive game, but is not as strong as Rhoomes. More of a 3/4 combo fwd. He has a good motor and is very aggressive. Suspect outside shot, however. I think both could contribute off the bench. Brunson is friends with my son so I would love the have him.

Rhoomes obviously played the 5 in HS. He seems adept at banging down low. He grabs boards and goes back up strong. I am not able to judge whether he would be successful at the Big East level but, again, he would definitely be a good guy to have come off the bench.

This kid was declared ineligible. Now he is trying to qualify with online classes. What is the chance he even qualifies?

I don't see any Need for Bronson with Sampson, Garrett, and Pointer on board. He is a freak athlete, but he's a wing that blocks shots.

Wave of the future in higher education. No reason why high school courses can't be accepted.

Tell that to Michael Chandler. One of my MBA courses next semester is 100% online. I know the value of online education, but the NCAA doesn't seem to accept it (even though so many member universities offer online classes to students).

Brunson plays a bit bigger that Pointer and Garrett. Again, as an energy guy coming off the bench, crashing the boards and playing tough defense, he would really help. Also, it is a two year investment.

Sanchez, whom I've never seen play, would probably be the player that makes Brunson unnecessary. They seem to have similar athleticism but Sanchez seems to be more talented (based on what I've read about him). Sanchez would likely be the backup to Sampson at the 4 spot. I wonder if, with only two years of eligibility, he is willing to do that. Brunson would have no hesitation.

The college that I work for offers a full, fully accredited program for the Bachelor of Nursing degree for any student that already possesses an R.N. certificate.

On-line education is the way of the future. More and more fully accredited universities are offering such courses as a new revenue stream (besides the fact that it is very cost effective to operate). It's a great way to increase enrollment without adding more students on campus
