@Rutgers, Fri. Nov. 16, 7pm, BTN / 970 WNYM

Very good and much needed win. We shot the lights out. If we shoot like this we will be more than fine the rest of the season. When shoot like they did tonight it negates any other deficiencies they might have. Liked what I saw out of Roberts in the little time he had. Would like to see him get some time with the regular rotation guys. All in all a great night. Thought this would be a tough one. Very happy to be very wrong.

Excellent second half.
Figueroa and Heron are two unbelievable additions to this team.
Kudos to Matt A for bringing them here.

Minor footnote:
In 2:40 seconds of play during garbage time Josh Roberts was the leading shotblocker in the game getting two blocks

Couple real thoughts.
Was really happy with Ponds. Didn't really have it but recognized he didn't have to and did not force it.
I agree would spot Roberts some minutes. Live body.
Dixon gave a good effort on D. Noticeable difference. Unfortunately in my opinion, at this point I do not think he has BE talent. Def not body size or athleticism.
Not going to shoot that way every game obviously but was fun to watch.

Heron looks to me like a first round draft pick. Just everything about him and his game says NBA, and not as a bench player. His release is so efficient. Figgy was tremendous. For a JUCO, he surprisingly doesn't force things very often. Just a good night for the guys. In his few minutes, Roberts looked like a guy who knows what someone his size is supposed to do: grab rebounds and block shots.

Prior game Ponds was a bit banged up. I wonder whether he has a lingering issue.

Happy we got a W, but this so called "Organized streetball" will be lead us to double digit deficits more times than not. Heron and Figgy were unconscious but the worst thing about tonight was two made 3's by Simon.
The 2.5 point spread on this game was a slap in the face. The talent gap is ridiculous
I was led to believe by many on this board that any player 6'8 and over was a dominant big man and if you faced a team that had a few tall players you had no shot to win.

That game showed how much more athletic are kids verse the Rutgers kids. Probably some of the best court spacing our team has shown in years. We still need the big agents certain teams but that game became a clinic. Our guards played outstanding defense allowed very little dribble penetration!!!!

The trade off from Bashir to Figgy is a big upgrade IMO. One is smooth and plays under control the other was a bull in china shop.
Outstanding all around. I never thought they'd win at Rutgers.
Hey Newsman

Don’t be a stranger. Your posts are missed.

LJ was just fantastic. Can do a little bit of everything and is a real threat to shoot, drive, or pass off the dribble. Aside from Ponds, I want the ball in his hands late. Ponds was great in the pick and roll, how he finds guys in the corner is just unreal. I would love to see us move the ball and look for best shot more earlier in games. As the game goes on it seems we start to do it more. Heron is the consistent scoring option we needed next to Ponds.
Johnnies winning by double digits. Cuse/UConn losing by double digits. What a night!
Paging Mike Zaun. UConn just got blown out in their 2nd home court The Garden by 20. Hurley hall of fame induction put on hold.

I’m not worried about Simon taking 3s because he’ll never take a bad/contested one and he’s proven he can hit those.

Yes all is well and happy,it is nice to have a team that is respected and perhaps rated. This feeling is good it was a long time coming let the feelin continue

Maybe. But we can complain about that when it happens. Why complain when it doesn't?
