RPI/SOS

I just saw on ESPN we are 54 in RPI and 22 in SOS. The RPI is quasi believable to me, the 22nd ranked SOS is not. I'll take them at their word though.

It's early to look at that stuff, but fun to take a quick glance.

It's not that early. We have 12 games left in the regular season. These figures could end up being STJ's best friends if they start winning a few more games.

Still behind Rutgers, though.

Interesting. I was actually just thinking about this. Surprised about the SOS but interesting. Strong OOC games were only Detroit, Baylor, South Carolina and Murray State. Not that strong. That said, they need to continue this trend upwards. Superb.

70/34

Realtime RPI and SOS.

All of this said. Focus needs to be one game. Seton Hall and protecting home court.

RPI 46 now after win yesterday.

Based on the current #'s, if the season ended now we'd be in. The season doesn't end today, of course, but it seemed damn near impossible to even be in contention two weeks ago.

Yeah the RPI is a bubble number but the #17 SOS is what puts us through. I'd say a 6-4 finish is what gets us in. 19-11 record with a gaudy SOS should be enough. That starts with DePaul on Wednesday. A huge home game.

Agree after I left the building after watching Gtown toy with us, I thought the season was over. It's nice to be in the mix!!

All that and and a T-3 in the BE standings.

SJU as an 11 seed is certainly possible with today's resume. Lot of work to do however. The Yahoo projection includes 9 Big East teams. That seems a little high for this season, since the league doesn't have as many elite Top Tier teams this season (at least right now after bad weeks for L'Ville & Syracuse).

Lot to be decided in the next month+

My gut tells me we beat Depaul, and I really think we win IN Gtown Saturday-- then things will get exciting.
