The team's success next season willl rely on keeping the present roster intact, and further improvement with the current group. I do not see a lot of minutes for any of the 2021 recruits.

Disagree strongly.  Pinzon going to compete for starters minutes I'm guessing.  Traore and Stanley will work in up front.

The only guaranteed departure is Toro.  That's less than 10 minutes of playing time per game.  Available playing time increases if there are any transfers, which I don't expect, or if Dunn leaves. Pinzon would be the most likely recipient of that time.  I'm certain that CMA will give the freshman opportunity to earn playing time.  So our "bigs" need to be ready for the competition.

Stanley, Nyiwe, and Roberts as a senior with ever improving footwork may give us enough strength and size in the post to at least discomfort opposing 5's and allow our wing and guard strength to dominate more games.  Not having an opposing center in the place he wants to be deprives other teams of the outlet pass they seek when Posh and Dunn and the rest of the team put the pressure on.

This would certaining be my strategy. Impact center and St. John's go together like oil and water, so the key for me would be to collect enough useful pieces that you can rotate in and out. Luckily it's college and not the the NBA of the '90s. If Traore is a legit 6'7" and could get up to 220 lbs., you could play with him at the five for short spurts.

What I think we are going to need is another very good PG/combo.  With posh as our primary and Dunn being potentially a super-senior, we really need somebody that can back up the point or play starting SG to take over for when guys like Williams and Dunn gone.  Maybe Pinzon can do it, but he's big and more of a wing.  Big need is a stud SG to prime for the future.  That and one big maybe.

Best chance of a big is if The Duke grows 5-6" over the summer.  Anyone have a rack they're not using.

I hope you are talking about Pinzon competing for starters minutes down the road because he is not playing over any of our current combo guards/wings.

I am not sure why people thought Traore is a "big".  He is an athletic and strong undersized PF.  Last year he played the 4 next to Zed Key who played the 5.  He does go hard to the boards though.

I've watched several Ohio State games this year (or at least parts of them) and Key is getting decent minutes as the back-up Center (they are also a small team).  What I reallly like and doesn't show up in the stats, is the way Key positions himself on offense in the low post and defends the post on defense.  Good foot work, good strenght and fundamentals.  Also the way he puts a body on someone and boxes out so even if he doesn't get the board, neither does his man.  These are they type of fundamentals I am hopping Drissa brings next year.

So I  am hearing what we all know we need ,big better players over the next yr or 2 who can shoot from distance and can shoot foul shots at around 75% and rebound and can run I will take it. Lol
