Listened to the first half on the radio and couldn't watch the second half but man what a pathetic display that was. Changes need to be made soon.
Lavin told a lie when he was interviewed during the NIT selection show.
He said his players were fired up! Once Jordan was ruled out, I knew it had potential to get ugly. I am really looking forward to 2015. I was discussing this with my dad after the providence game, we can blame Lavin all we want, bottom line is many teams with him at the helm have had success, so it's not all his fault. I Put 70% of the blame on the players and 30% on Lav, these guys aren't winners, they wanna be, and believe they are, but they arent. I know the knee jerk reaction is to blame the coach, but these players have got to go. I love some of these guys, and they are truly great guys and bust their butt for the program, but it's time for a change of scenery on the court for the johnnies, it's time for a new product on the floor.
When 2015 rolls around, I hope Lavin has learned from his mistakes and has signed some guys that are heady, good shooters, and play hard. Isaiah Briscoe would be a hell of a start, he is exactly what we need.
Jordan is by far the best player on the team, and I think if he gets a nice jumper going over the offseason he will average 16 points 5 assists a night. If we get to a tourney next year it's on his back, not DLo's. He'll jump to the nba after that though, which would be a shame because him and Briscoe would be a treat to watch even if only for a year.
Season in the end was a failure, and we actually regressed from last season postseason wise. We technically made it further last year. That's sad...
Overall it's so disappointing, hard to swallow, but hopefully no one transfers, we snag de la rosa, and some of our players make some serious improvements to their game over the offseason.
I don't post very much at all during the offseason, so if I don't get a chance I'll just say thanks to all you guys for a great year. A special thanks to paultzman, who was a beast this year being the twitter man putting all those informative tweets on here. Thanks to the mods, and all the posters/fans that went through this roller coaster year. March Madness starts Thursday and I know we all thought four months ago we would for sure be participating. Unfortunate.
I'll post occasionally, but for the most part I'll talk to all of you in November!

The sad thing about this ending is the same disinterested team will be back next year. Does anyone really expect anything different?
