Yea you’re right to not trust Embiid. Pistons we will see, I just really like the young Cade/Duren pairing and I expect them to continue to improve

It wouldn’t surprise me if the Celtics are better than a few teams expected to win more, but it also wouldn’t surprise me if they are in the play in range and decide to start resting guys and get themselves a spot in the lottery.

The lottery is so different now, with the altered odds you can sneak into the back end of the lottery and win it. That’s gotta be incredibly enticing for a team like the Celtics, who know they probably aren’t true contenders until Tatum is Tatum again

Always was … hated the Knicks .. stopped watching NBA many years ago ..

The Players are , without question , great BB players .
But , it was more that I got into NHL Hockey as a fan and , the 2 Sports share most of the Fall , Winter , Spring and , lately almost Summer . I only have 3 TV’s so I watch a lot of Hockey as I get the Center Ice Package .

College BB is easier to follow , especially for St John’s , as I’m a Alum plus there are fewer games than the NBA .

I live in SCarolina so , I don’t get a lot of the NY teams games on my outrageously priced Cable subscription so ,the NBA isn’t a priority .

I’m more into College Football now too ..It’s bigger than the NFL down here . Nearly all the College Teams in the South sell out every game .
High school football too , they play on Friday nights . Too hot to play in the daytime .
 
Has RJ played at all in NBA related games or is he still injured?

Well it cost him 2 2nd round picks, unless you attribute that as payment to take Niang's contract off his hands.

That's exactly what it was - the price of dumping salary in the NBA is draft picks.

I follow college basketball and football a lot more than I do the pros.

Gee , that’s sounds like a negative to direct at a Player who was BE and BET MVP and 2nd Team All America.
Who , equally as important recently received a Award for his Academic achievements .

Maybe he’s not a NBA player . Time will tell , Champagne wasn’t drafted either and look how that’s worked out .

I'm rooting for him Sly - he is in an excellent organization. Worst case, he'll spend some time with their G League team in Maine along with former teammate Aaron Scott. It wouldn't shock me to see both get some time with the Celts at some point this year.
RJ is clearly a great kid, don't see how any Johnnie fan can't be rooting hard for him to achieve his dream.

We should have a Redfans night when the Maine Celtics play the Long Island Nets or Westchester Knicks. We can then show our love to both RJ and Aaron. I’m sure CRP will be there.
