Listen, I know we haven't done anything in a long time and have been pretty much not living up to expectations but everyone of these early predictions has us in the bottom half of the league.

Now maybe I read too much on here and it alters my perception of reality but are we really that mediocre?

Posh is one of the top PG in the league and we had one of the top Transfer classes in the country.

Is it better to be loved or feared?

Just my opinion but respect is earned not given. I’d rather be underestimated anyway and beat expectations

Unfortunately those that have the team in the lower half of the conference are the same pollsters that had us near the top last season what they believed to be a great recruited class of transfers and two solid holdovers in Posh, Frosh of the Year and Champ All Conference After last year’s disappointing season, perhaps they are adopting a more “wait and see” approach to put it nicely.

Why is that unfortunate? Shouldn’t it tell us that no one truly knows what’s gonna happen before the season starts. They were wrong about us finishing in the top half. Now let’s hope they’re wrong about us finishing outside of the top half.

I view it as unfortunate cause now with seemingly enough talent to rise to the upper half of the conference, they have little faith in the program. Put it this way, if Nova still had Wright and the roster we currently have, would they be picked to finish in the lower half of the league? Hopefully the pollsters are proven wrong in a good way.

The program has not been good for a while now, and there is always a stigma attached until proven otherwise.
Win games, advance past the first weekend of the NCAA tournament,
and the “respect” and “accolades”, etc. will certainly follow.

Well, the experience factor is there. The guard play should be there. Jones is a top tier player and the bigs are at the very least serviceable. If someone with an outside shot shows up I could see top 4 or 5. But again, allot depends on the team defense which has been poor in the past. Im not convinced the new roster additions will solve that.
