The fact this man got to personally thank Alex for helping him learn English, is pretty special

Of course, the man can only answer questions with "What is... Who is..."
It is a special story, and a wonderful TV moment.
I learned to spell at about age 3 by watching a game show where you had to spell words, maybe it was called "Crosswords" but I'm not sure. I thought the host was Jan Murray, but again I don't remember. At that age, I could only spell my name, and then quickly learned a host of other words by adding or changing letters. When I wasn't sure, I'd run to the kitchen and ask my mom, "How do you spell (a certain words)", then run back in and try to answer it on time writing it down.. I can definitely relate.
At 3 years old, I was learning by watching The Three Stooges. That explains a lot
I thought it was unusual, but I learned to spell before I learned to read. I guess I was about 4 when I learned to read, first by surprising my parents and myself that I could read the Dick and Jane reader. I say this, because my real desire to learn to read was wanting to read comic books, which I read from about age 4 to 15. Mostly DC comics.
Three Stooges and comic books - about the same level of intellect.
