Quinnipiac, Mon., Nov. 3, 6:30p, FS-1

8. Amarri Monroe, Quinnipiac

A senior power forward that would've gotten a big paycheck to transfer out and head to a high-major, but instead Quinnipiac holds on to the best guy (by a good margin) in the MAAC. Monroe is even getting a few NBA scouts into QU practices in advance of the season, just to see what he's working with. Last season, the 6-7, 220-pound product from Newburgh, New York, averaged 18.1 points, 9.1 rebounds and 2.3 steals — thriving in an uptempo scheme.

Yeah. In high school and college I used to work at a dairy barn and people that go to dairy barn are too lazy to get out of their cars to go to the grocery store and a lot have attitudes so I’d call them out on being nasty to my staff so one of the workers called me Bundy and it stuck with anyone who worked at Dairy Barn or went to DB
After DB did you become a shoe salesman? ;)

Meeting up in or near Delray Beach in Southeast Florida with other STJ posters from this board for the Quinnipiac game. Any other interested folks are welcome to join us. Restaurant with TV's and good food abound but recommendations welcome. Once we have a sense of interest level we will take it to a separate thread.
Where and when are you meeting?

I have a place in Delray. Not there now but keep me in mind for future meetups.

Will there be a Lefty chant during warmups at this game? a la Zuby chant in Bahamas. Just want to make sure I get there in time.
Zuby's misses in a game that counted, against a top 5 team, for a team that had high hopes were devastating to fans and maybe the player too. There was also a competitive game to play the next day.

This was an exhibition game and nothing more than a yardstick for where we are vs a competitive game.

Lefteris played his best game as a Johnny by far. Anything more than receiving him warmly when he enters the game 9 days after the michigan game would be overdone IMO. That should be far in the rearview mirror by then and a game that meant nothing with a non competitive game Monday.

Players bounce back quicker and better than most fans. 😇
