Preliminary predictions re: 2016/17 BE standings

I think we reach at least 18 wins and a possible NIT bid. Lovett and Ponds will finally provide us with some excellent back court skillsets. Bashir Ahmed will be an excellent 2 year guy here while Freudenburg will be a nightmare matchup on offense. Those four additions alone are what we truly needed, SCORING. These boys can drop buckets. The 2 X factors to me will be Owens and Williams. If these two can bang down low and grab some boards to progress the development of/ compete with Sima and Yawke we will be a fun team to watch. I'm calling the upset at the Carrier Dome early this year!

Mullin had these boys playing hard last year, I'm truly excited to see next years team run wild on the Big East.

I saw the you tube clips and agree. These new guys can drop buckets. The never miss a shot.

I'm calling for a win against St Thomas Aquinas.
Please tell me Aquinas is not on the schedule. If they are I suggest we all better leave town.

Can you name me a better offensive player than those four guys, from last year's roster that will play this upcoming season?

I'll wait till after I see them go through what Mussini endured. He never missed a shot on you tube too.

I'm looking forward to watching these kids play next season with an awareness that it's a significant upgrade in the competition. There's some pretty good coaches in this league who can make freshmen look like a deer in headlights. Once we have a team heavy in experience we'll be back in the top five of the league. I hope I'm wrong about this being another rough year of growing pains.

It is not only the fact that we only won 8 games, we were also outscored by 10 a game. If we can win 15 and be competitive in most games, everyone should be ecstatic.

My biggest fear is Lovett blows up and pulls a Harkless where he enters the draft before we can be good.

Just noticed Creighton made it with 18 wins....

4 of them were against St. John's and Depaul

Hardly anyone pays attention to NIT...

From what I recall, the NIT used to be THE tournament! The NCAAs were then an afterthought.

Would be great experience if we can make the NIT. We shall see.
