Prediction on what Mullin does first 10-years

I'm not normally one of those "too early for this" posters, but we don't have a full staff in place, know what style of play Mullin wants to employ or what system he wants to instill, and we don't even know what our roster will look like.

IMO, the future with Slice v. without Slice makes a big difference. I'll wait until the staff is rounded out and we find out who the freshmen that will be our core for the next four seasons are.

can we even talk to Slice with his season still in swing ? if not it gives me another reason for Kentucky to lose. :)

I hope they win it all so Calipari goes to the NBA and slice comes here.

Two things that I don't care about today is the ten year outlook and what happens to Monasch. Today is Chris and Lou's day.

Chillaxxxxx The 10-yr outlook was just for fun, some of you people on here are to serious

Rather than predict the next 10 years, let me look backwards and see what Mullin has accomplished in about a day - bring back thousands of fans, including reporters.

And already a top recruiter on his staff and HS coaches energized...Chris wants to make his mark starting now!

I think part of the " seriousness" stems from such lousiness & disappointment for a few decades - seems there will be a lot more lightheartedness henceforth under Chris. There was no joy in Mudville circa 1995-2011
All the best.

Some disagreement: there was joy during the 98-99 & 99-00 seasons.

Ten years from now there will be 10 new NCAA National Championship banners hanging in Carnesecca Arena.

Come on, don't act like you haven't dreamed about it

As long as we're dreaming, how about them hanging in the brand-new Carnesecca Arena.

There will be only 9. Mullin will be giving me one to thank me for orchestrating his return to SJU - as long as we are being delusional.

Well if he is back in an NBA office because he failed, we will
Be hoping we win the MAAC tournament. I doubt very much either will occur.

10 years from now he will be back in an NBA front office, bc his coaching experiment did not work out....

I am going to give the top Lavin fans credit -- they aren't disappearing from the site like babies like fans of previous coaches did. Whatever happened to Q in Yonkers?

I am a Lavin supporter, but also really like Chris Mullin. My comment was more or less just being facetious. I'm sure when Lavin was hired and then pulled in the #3 recruiting class in the nation we all thought that was the beginning of st johns returning to the glory days..and look how that turned out..It's a great hire, he is going to get good players, but it does not automatically mean the program is restored to it's glory, he might fail, its possible, just trying to keep you all on the ground ;)

You're crazy if you think he's going to fail. I think he'll be very successful here, and be here 20+ years. Everyone will have his back.
I believe if you want to succeed bad enough and surround yourself with the right people. There is no doubt in my mind that he'll do as he wants, which is to bring SJU back to elite status. Don't ever doubt Chris Mullin, he'll be relentless.

If Coach Mullin does not live up to expectations then it will not be for his lack of effort.

Mullin will not need a GPS to find Christ the King gym or any other high school gymnasium.
