At most a 20% chance of victory. Even a broken clock is right twice a day so who knows.

Last time we made the tournament we won a game @Xavier that saved the season. A win next weekend would do the same

Pond has to contribute from the get go and open the offense up for everyone else. Limit Simon's touches and we should win this game.

Okay, I guess a Novena is out of the question, since we don't have 9 days.

Extreme long shot that we win this game. Not only is it another bad match-up, teams now know exactly how to dismantle our talented, yet severely flawed roster.

1. Pound ball inside
2. Play zone defense
3. Rinse
4. Repeat

Xavier has momentum. We'll see if they beat Butler this week to keep it going. They are now motivated with potentially getting an at large bid and finishing 3rd in BE. They smell blood from a struggling SJU team.

Going to be tough for SJU.

Hopefully 5 days off gives Heron enough time to rest up and give it a full go on Saturday. Think a healthy Heron can really make a difference in this one. With that said...we have seen the lineups that are our kryptonite this season... Bigs that play by the basket, zones and refs with a whistle (i joke...but seriously lol).

There has been something amiss the back half of the season, attitude of the guys on court seems to have changed...its a small takeaway, but just watching every fast break the past 4 games, the person leading the break seems to always look to finish themselves and not pass it off for an easier look. Maybe just me reading into things a bit too deep...but chemistry looks to be lacking. they look like a team not confident in the other. Hopefully it turns around and they give us an inspired end to the season.

With that said- i expect is to be close to 5 point dogs on Sat and to lose by 10+. Cintas is a tough tough place to play, and for a team that looks like we do now...not a recipe for success

Closing the season with 3 losses to Depaul and X....we will be on the outside looking in for the Tourney....and will prob be playing on Wednesday night. If so, need two wins in the BE to make the tourney.

Stay out of foul trouble. If were over the limit 5 minutes into the game again I’m just turning it off and saving myself the aggravation.

We must do something different. In my opinion we should come out and press from the get go. Not even for the purpose of getting turnovers, but to run the shot clock down and force them into their offense later. Once the ball crosses mid-court, we should drop back into a zone. Either Keita or Roberts (maybe even both with LJ, Ponds, and Clark or Heron) needs to be on the floor for this and anchor the zone in the middle. This would serve a couple of purposes. 1) It should cut down on the fouls. 2) Changing defenses can often disrupt the offense because they are not and have not prepared for it. 3) It should keep us from getting pounded inside. Just my opinion, but doing the same thing we did 9 days prior and expecting a different result is insane.

I agree. First possession, run the best play you have, get a bucket, and set up the press immediately. Make this game a track meet

Maybe Mullin can try getting animated after we make baskets instead of yelling at the refs incessantly.

Bad news and good news.

The bad news is that BPI currently only gives us a 41.6% chance to win this game (that number can change, especially with Xavier playing a game this week).

The good news is that BPI is only 2-6 in predicting our last 8 games.

Johnnies: 2018-2019 Season is like Jekyll & Hyde

Dr.Jekyll: cock-eyed optimist: we win on the road in the Cintas Center.

Mr. Hyde: pessimist: we lose big.

This Jekyll & Hyde team can easily do either of these things as they had all year. If anyone on here can predict which team shows up please stand up and be counted.

That DePaul loss at home is really bothersome; losing at their place is one thing but to lose at our place is terrible. Same for the blowout at the Garden to Providence, horrendous.

Yet we win on the road in Creighton and Marquette, play Nova close away and beat them at home. We beat a good VCU team, that team is the one I want to show up the rest of the season.

What’s so frustrating about this season if they just split with the two worst teams in the league DePaul and Providence we would be safely in the tourney!

Frustrating.at least. more like extremely disappointed, especially with the talent we have. Heron was the most reliable performer until we needed him the most. Ponds auditions for the NBA every game. Clark ,love him. must use his 5 fouls more wisely, Simon, where has been his defense recently, the only one I feel gives 100% every game is Figurora. I don't understand the use of the bench now when they had the pre conference games to experiment. There is etc. etc.

Why pound the ball inside? Even if we get Xavier's big to foul, somehow it would be called again us.
If I'm Ponds, during my last game, and the end of it , I put my finger in a refs face "Michael Stephens", and tell him a big fu, and tell him to tell Stu an even bigger fu to him.

Yes, I know that's classless, but it's classless the way the refs been screwing sju all year. So, I say so what.
