Not to veer off topic but Spacing the floor as a catch and shoot guy with limited creation ability is actually a pretty valuable commodity in the NBA. Lots of guys aren’t asked to creat shots for themselves with stars doing more and more of the heavy lifting. It’s not his lack of creation that will hinder him it’s whether or not he can provide enough as a defender IMO. He knows where to be and can pick up steals and blocks as a help defender but will he be able to guard perimeter players in space.

Braun from Kansas and O’Connell From Creighton basically took his lunch money out there. If he can’t guard those guys how will he guard guys with NBA athleticism? Not that Braun and O’Connell are not good players , they are, but the NBA is another level entirely.
He wont be drafted nor play in the nba.  He is not athletic, explosive or quick enough.  Hes not even a good college player right now.  In 4 of the 7 big east games this year, he has been bad.
Damn your a hater, his brother has already played in the NBA and Julian is a better fit as a role player in the league. Also your name is kind of weird and your picture is out dated, there’s a reason they don’t use that logo anymore. You obsess over one person each season, it was Earlington and now that Valentine guy from Loyola, weird behavior for a grown man.

There's only 2 things that will give us a little breathing room this season, if we ever arrive there:

1) Winning the first of a series on an away court of a series you'd have best hoped to split
2) Sweeping the teams you really have to be successful in this league

The things you want to avoid

1) Losing  on your home court to teams you want to split or sweep

At Villanova is more of an opportunity for us to get a little breathing room
At home vs. Providence is pretty much a must win game, else it necessitates we sweep someone else just to break even, all things being equal

To a large extent then, tomorrow is a less stress game - play your butts off, and it's a huge unexpected win if it happens.
No matter what, Tuesday vs. Providence is a must game, once again.

Tough one, but don’t get crushed, keep it very competitive v solid, but not deep Nova & who knows. Losing if competitive, sustaining team confidence and then beating PC at home is ok with me.

Sorry losing is never ok with me. But that is what this program has become. Losers.
There was a time in the 60's that st John's was 3rd with most wins ever by a college team. Only behind kansas and kentucky. Now we have fallen like NYU did in the 50's and like NYU we may never return.

Wonder if the team is planning to leave today before the storm hits, so they don't have to try and travel there tomorrow.

What are you talking about man???  Julian is projected to be drafted on almost every major mock draft site right now.  This is probably the worst take of the year and it's been some bad takes on here this season.  GM's and scouts aren't going to completely erase 3 years worth of scouting/footage they have on a player because he had 4 bad games according to a random poster on a message board.  Shooting slumps happen to everyone.  Even in a shooting slump he's still averaging 20 PPG and shooting 38% from three.  Steph Curry is the best shooter the world has ever seen, and he's been bricking like crazy lately and only shooting like 38% from three right now.

It's snowing out right now, but like all your posts, this one just brightened my day.   And you only double posted this one!/media/kunena/emoticons/unsure.png

I believe they travel the day before a game in most cases anyway.  Actually, probably all.

Dee, no doubt you are referring to the fallen NYU team of 1959-60 which went to the Final Four.  Or is it the team from 58/59 that finished third in the NIT?  Or is it the two NCAA teams of 62/63?  Or the NIT runner-up to Brigham Young of '66?

I assume they are down in Philly/Nova already because of the storm.

My guess is they will spend the night there in a hotel.

St. John's opens as a +15.5 underdog tomorrow on the road at  Villanova.

Higher than anticipated

Clearly Lefty and the boys in Vegas think the SH game was a one off for us. Especially after SH got clobbered in their next game. We shall see tomorrow. Gun to my head Im going with Johnnies +15.5, but thankfully no one is holding a gun to my head, so Im likely laying off.
