Please, 8 pound, 6 ounce Baby Jesus, still in the Manger, don’t know anything yet....let us beat these SoBs. Pretty please.

If we are a 5 seed, we would play the 4 seed on Thursday.  And if 4 seed, we play 5.   Likely, Seton Hall.

I think if X wins that throws a wrinkle into that because of how they are determining seeding based on winning percentage.  X has a pretty easy game (it seems) against a Marquette team that has been disjointed, but it's on the road where X has really really struggled.

I don't care about BET seeding.  I want to win this one, finish our season with a winning conference record and a bye into the BET and get Posh back healthy.  I think that with our depth, a healthy team (with Posh) and the wind at our backs, we will get into the tourney.  Could make a real run in BET as well. Love to see SJU vs UConn in the finals. This is a weird year and it will be hard to deny us if we win this one, with our late season record overall.  Nothing ahead except winning this game.  We did what we had to do vs Providence but have unfinished business.

ps.  Posh, please heal fast!

Win and we don't have to play Wednesday in the BET for the first time in 6 years. Would be awesome

Seton Hall and Williard are the lone BE school and coach that CMA has yet to beat at St. John's. Fitting!

Being in New Jersey, I love it when we beat Seton Hall, one of my duaghters went there for grad school but she still roots for the Johnnies every time!

Let's hold Mamu down, other teams have done it; we should watch the film. Either that or let him get his and hold everyone else down, kind of like we did with the first Providence win and Watson.

Go Johnnies, down the Pirates.

btw, I actually heard the PC-Police are mentioning teams with Buccaneer and Pirate names have to go because Pirates and Buccaneers conjure up politically incorrect images (not kidding, see i.e., Mr. Potatohead)

Last time I said let Mamu get his and stop everyone else.  That did not work out well for us, but, I did see something in that game that can make a huge difference.  Only Wusu denied Mamu getting the ball on the inbounds and made him work to receive it on the offensive end.  When others were guarding him, he would get the inbounds, dribble up court and score.  We have to deny him the ball.  Can't score if he doesn't touch it.

Per Zach B, our NET ranking moved up 5 spots to 69 after last night's win over Providence
A win against Seton Hall and a good showing in the BE tourney and, who knows? Maybe?....
If we beat Seton Hall, I'm going to polish my dance shoes that have been in storage

Mamu is not good when he gets frustrated out on the court. I watched him and he lets it affect his game. I agree ball denial, and cutting off his dribble will be important. He is not nearly as good as when he is free to roam. Go for steals (smartly), he is not nearly as smooth "handling" as he thinks he is.

I think Mamu may be the best player in the BE.  Got to frustrate him and, as a plus, get him in foul trouble early.

Mamu abused Julian on drives last game. My odd thought of the day is give long armed Greg some time guarding him. Of course he would try to post him up, but SJ can double then. Not perfect solution, but his driving in lane, which he does a lot, would be harder v a quick player.

Wusu should use his 5 fouls being physical with him. Remember him having some success later in the first game giving it a go.

I think we should mix quite a bit of zone in with man and press like we did vs Providence.  Make them beat us by shooting over us a bit and frustrate them.  They're big, so we can't fall for that stuff.  Jump them in the post.  Run when we can.  Would love to have Posh back.  I really think think if we win this game we will be hard to be deny a trip to the dance, win one or more In BET and it would really solidify our case.

I believe we can lose and as long as Xavier losses too, we get the 5th seed and a bye.
Have to watch GT...for once we need to root for UCONN (only if Tums on hand)

Is it possible to win Saturday and still get the 6th seed? I think this might be best possible scenerio in that if we are the 6th seed we play Wednedsy night and we could get an extra win.
