He mentioned Champ twice for BE Player of the Year.  Granted Champ is on his mind given we play them tomorrow evening, but still.

Zach B noted St. John's opens as a 2-point favorite tomorrow over Providence and Posh a game time decision.

The latter never seems to work out in our favor

I'm often wrong but just have a feeling Posh will give it a go tomorrow night.

Something tells me this kid would play with just one arm if he had to in a big game. A true warrior.

I am softening my opinion on Cooley based on the clip, didn't disrespect us at all.
I think Cooley sometimes lets his emotions gets the best of him in the heat of the moment and acts our uncharacterstically. I've always found him to be a good guy and good representation of the Big East.

Don't we all?

A coach blowing smoke up the arse of an upcoming opponent. Doubt he votes for any of our guys for post season honors.

Correct, no "bulletin board" material for the upcoming opposing team.  And although he mentioned Julian twice when discussing Player of the Year /Most Valuable Player, he also stated that he believes in championships and it is hard not to vote for the best player on the best team as being the most valuable (not an uncommon way of thinking).  His POY/MVP vote will not go to Julian but to one of the guys from Nova or Creighton.

Champagne is NOT the MVP not by a long shot. Maybe he'll be the scoring leader shooting in the low 40s but he's not the MVP

Posh out, per Kevin Connely

Bad news for St. John’s

Posh Alexander will not play tonight

He’s in street clothes with what looks like a cast/brace on his wrist/thumb #SJUBB

Everyone else has to step it up. We can either sulk and lay down or fight like hell and play to win.

So this is how it ends

It is what it is. Posh can't play if he's hurt and we are unlikely to beat both PC & Hall w/o him. I'd consider it a big win if we can win one of those two w/o him. But you just never know. Let's go Johnnies & let's go McGriff!
