A sweep against Cooley and the Frairs would be sweet considering all of the knockouts by them in the BET over the years.

I hate these long breaks in our schedule, but with Posh this is a great thing.

A 7 PM start for the Friar game, very positive, right NC Johnnie!

Normally I'd be right with you on the 7 pm start BJR, but as luck would have it I have a Zoom meeting from 7:30-8:30 I can't miss that night; will have to miss end of first half and beginning of 2nd half, but will be checking my phone for score updates and maybe try to drop off of Zoom unobtrusively by 8:15 lol.
Hoping by the time I turn on second half we'll be up 10!

I'll be happy if the Johnnies get one more win. The last two games won't be easy.
They have a slightly better chance of beating Providence.

Let's see how it goes. The post season pressure is gone. The Johnnies are playing to defend home court and trying to end the season on a win.

Our destiny is still in our hands.  If we manage to win both, I don't see how we stay out of the top 4 and out of the tournament.  Then there's the BET.  We are going to need Posh back though and we need to win. Both winnable games, albeit certainly difficult.

interesring you think we have better shot of beating Providence.

I always kind of default to thinking the team who lost the first matchup has the better chance in the rematch. It's hard to sweep teams.

also... I've caught the last few seton hall games. They are a disaster right now. They've completely hit a wall on offense. I kind of expect to beat them

I was going by Seton Hall's record. They're third in the Big East. I didn't know they were on a downward slide. I've been busy at work and missed SH's games. SJU is in the same boat. It should be a competitive game.

I'm worried about Providence. Their coaches know what to expect against the Johnnies. They should be studying the Butler and Depaul games right now. Coach Anderson has to figure out how to fix his defense. PDQ. Or it's going to be another long night for the Johnnies.

Let's hope Posh can play with his thumb taped. That can make a big difference in the games outcome.

NCJohnnie, whatever you do that night don't pull a Jeffrey Toobin Zoomaroom.

Your very optimistic ,winning 2in a row the way we have been playing is a tall order. Plus, prov with its interior bigs is a difficut task for us since we can not protect the rim. Not knowing Poshs injury, even if he played he would not be able to play his best.I think he should not play and take care of his injury. Perhaps, our fate was sealed when we lost to DePaul.
Ies hard to stay positive but hope the have a good game

Do we know if Posh is playing ?  And , maybe it might be good strategy for CMA start the game playing Zone ? Make PC play a 1/2 Court game so they need to shoot from outside and offset their interior game with Watson . They turn it over a lot , so let's see how they handle a tight Zone . It would be a game plan that Cooley would not anticipate .  Every BE team has now seen our Press and full court Defense and how to beat it .  When , even Butler and DePaul shred it , it's time to counter . Will CMA try it ?

both winnable games....need to get back to business

Both winnable games, both games we can easily lose. Very hard to predict with this team as we lack starter talent. If our defence is very good, if Posh and Champ can score 35 or more together ,   If the game is played at our pace , if someone other than Posh and Champ steps up to score a decent amount, if our bench combines for around 30 points we win.
A great many ifs must turn out favourably for this very young team to win our next 2 games. Will they , I have no clue, but I certainly hope so. It would be super to beat the Hall , the local team that has really had our number these last few years.

Any chance Posh plays?

Slim to none here imo - in another thread Zach twitter indicated Posh has not practiced since loss to Nova.
