Georgetown has to be licking their chops, waiting for this game.  I mean, how many legit chances at win do they see on their remaining schedule?  This certainly would qualify as one.

All they need to do is stay within 6 points or so, with about 3 minutes left.  That's when the "Anderson Factor" comes in.

I think we beat georgetown as they are really bad.  But a loss would not shock me.

We will then have to go to Hinkle on short notice and we have 0 chance to win that game.

Georgetown has been close recently.  Took a lead in 2nd half against Seton Hall last night before collapsing, lost to Butler late after grabbing the lead.  Played competitive against Villanova.  They are due to punch thru.  I got a bad feeling.

And Butler is better than Georgetown.  Neither is great but the way the team is playing I see a split at best.

SJ beats GT, but Hinkle always unkind to Johnnies in addition to Butler finally having full team makes split likely.

Georgetown and St. John's!
It doesn't get much better than that!

Hello? Anyone here?

Could say the same about our team also. This team is unfortunately only a few plays here and there from being 6-3 in league play and the season being entirely different. Not ready to write them off just yet.

I am excited to see how posh plays in this game.  I hope after last night he learned that he has to score 20 points a game on this team.  Hes talented enough to do it.

In his last 5 games, hes had games of 7, 9 and 10 points.  That is not going to cut it on this team.  Last night he took 20 shots.  Versus Nova, he took 8.

We need his offense.  20 plus points a game and 20 shots a game.  Lets do it Posh!!!!

Wow didn't realize this was tomorrow. Must win to keep our CBI hopes alive.

Yes but the difference is SJU had real expectations this year Georgetown did not.  There is a reason why Georgetown was picked dead last by just about everyone and are exactly that right now, nobody thought they would be any good this year.

I will root for them but my hope is all but dashed.  The Nova and PC games were a big chance to get this ship righted.  Needed one.  My hope is waning.  Bad NET, few quality wins and no room for error.

And be clear this is year 3, they should be a NCAA team this year let alone the expectations of being picked to at least achieve that.  So that is even more disappointing.

Good post.

Line up to SJU -5. Sucker that I am, probably throwing a few bucks on Johnnies.

Be surprised if we beat them twice
I was shocked that Marquette beat Nova for a 2nd time last night, but agree it would be surprising for us to beat anyone twice. Not sure why I automatically assume that the oddsmakers know more than me. I use "law of averages" most of the time. We're due for a good game...I hope

I think you meant Marquette beat Nova.

Prediction - Champ breaks out and has his first 20 point game since we played Georgetown in MSG.
