This is a must win game at home.    So far, although we had winnable games, we were not favored in any of them except for Pitt.   Winning at home against a team like Georgetown is of paramount importance to a reasonably successful season for us

Yup, lose this one and Johnnies won’t dig out of this hole imo, considering the games that follow. To think we are good enough to make a late run and enter BE T on a roll, because CMA’s teams develop over time seems folly. Realize that injuries are obviously part of game and lose Julian or Posh for a few remaining games and hard to envision much success w/o either. Our tradition of crappy BE starts will no doubt continue if we  lose to GT. Hopefully the guys come out amped to get this “must win” as noted.

Beating Georgetown and the Hoyas at Madison Square Garden is always a pleasure, let's do it boys!

It is the one game I hate bringing the Wife with me.  She grew up routing for two teams, and Georgetown was one of them.  She now routes for three as St. John's has been added.  Beating them makes it all the better.

Should have played this at CA.  Judging by Ticketmaster we will be lucky if there is 4,000 people there
I can't wait for the UCONN home game coming up - that's always a blast.

My satellite provider doesn't have Fox. Any way to watch the game online? No way any local Florida bars are going to put it on.

Nothing easy ,next game will be hard to win. They haven’t given me any confidence that we will win games in the BE
lets hope something good happens .remember we have the same players with the same talent
we need this came badly

We  for the longest time had s hard time recruiting big men Although this yr we have a few but is questional that they are BE talent
but most of BE teams over the yrs did not have this prob look at georgetown ,they have 3 players over 7 feet  just stating an observation

A memorable play and win over Gtown

Let's hope we blow them out tomorrow

That was a great game, we were ranked #24 the next day. Of course we went into our patented January skid immediately after, but it was still a critical W as we made the play-in game that year.

Goes without saying tomorrow is an absolute must win, period. Assuming we win I wouldn't call 2-2 anywhere near a success given the two wins would be against arguably the two worst Big East teams (and at home), but it certainly would be much better than 1-3 BE.

I don't think St. John's has had a winning stretch during this time of the year in a very long time, and thus far that has continued with our 1-3 skid going back to Pitt (with 2 of those teams being mediocre). We're now at the midway point of the season with an awful resume, and while there is still time to make the Dance that needs to start tomorrow. I expect a blowout W, but tbh would settle for a win by any margin.

We better win, my son who's a freshman at SJU saw 5 players at a bar on bell Blvd last night all not wearing masks, I get the college experience thing but these kids just came off a 2 week pause. Hopefully a non issue but time will tell..... go Johnnie's

That's going to make it tough on the offensive boards in the paint. Our Achilles heel.

Just watched the intro and opening to "The Sweater Game" in 1985 (my senior year at St. John's) to get ready for Georgetown-SJU. Impossible to describe to younger fans what it was like to have St. John's be a force in college hoops and to own NYC.

Coming on 30 years and I just want to experience that one more time...

We all do, that’s what keeps us going.

If you're on the East Coast near a Duffy's, you can always get them to put one TV on for a college game...especially during COVID and a non-NFL season.
