Every Big East game is a battle but more so for the road team. We have to take this game at home or we will be playing catch-up the rest of the season. Hopefully we will get the strong start that we have in many games and keep it going.

DePaul's Jalen Coleman-Lands (hand) remains out indefinitely, per Dave Leitao. No timetable for return. Blue Demons play at St. John's on Saturday. 6 PM ET on @CBSSportsNet. #SJUBB

And is Ponds okay?

According to the timeine, LJ reentered Tuesday's game with 59 seconds left (I thought I saw him come back in on TV). My guess is, they would not have done this, if it was anything serious.

St Johns was off yesterday, practices later today, so Chris Mullin didn’t have an update during conference call on LJ Figueroa who was hurt late against Villanova
I thought he returned to the game, with about a minute to go?
Yes, li came back, and stuck to both like glue. Where was that the last 5minutes of the game. Lj was hurt, so then tell Simon to stick him.
And tell Simon, if you leave booth and he hits a three, that he'll ride the bench for the rest of the game.

Doesn't look like Ponds suited up for practice today.

Hope another day of rest and precautionary and he's ok to play.

This was my worry.
Hope Shamorie heals fast.
But, if not able to go versus DePaul, my bet is Simon & Heron & Figgy lead the way.
St. John's wins by 10.

And I’d like to see Williams get some time.

I expect he will get about 10.

LJ Figueroa tells me his ankle is fine. No concern there for St. John's. #sjubb

This is likely the easiest game we have left on our schedule. I won't say this is a must win game, because we have plenty of time to make up ground, but this would be a bad loss.

This isn’t going to be an easy game. But it’s one that we have to put in the W column.

Definitely not an easy game.

Max Strus is a savvy player. Good shooter, strong inside and high IQ. We have to keep him in check and don't pick up stupid fouls when he is far from the basket.

Another key is making sure we contest Eli Cain's three pointers. He will torch you if you leave him open, but he will also go 1-10 if you're in his shirt.

Looking forward to another great crowd at CA today!
