Just feel like I've seen this movie before. Have we ever gone on a big W streak with our backs against the wall since Lavin? Just once it would be nice to get a bit lucky and rip off wins against Marquette and Duke then come home for a few games and win those. The inability to win 2 in a row (except once early on) is absolutely killing us. You need some consistency to be able to do that and Marquette/Nova have zero issue there. I think put up or shut up time is over. We shut up. Right now we are trying to get out of a hole.

This is the fourth season man. Who the f*ck was going to go on a win streak the first three years? Mvouika? Alibegovic and Yakwe?

Stop with the feelings and start dealing with facts. NOBODY could have won with the rosters the first two years and after Lovett went down last year.

That's it boys. Just four conference road wins in the past three years. It really is time for this group to put up.

We won at Georgetown this year, JohnnyFan.

Need to win 3 more on the road and 4 more at home to get to 10-8. Tough but doable, but has to start tonight.

Not to be overly dramatic but tonight's game is basically their season. I don't see how they get around it. The next two games against Duke and Marquette are just going to be really tough outs for them. If they don't beat Creighton it is going to get really ugly. If they can beat Creighton then losses to Duke and Marquette won't totally cripple their season.

Kick me in the jimmy.

The team rebounded nicely after the Seton Hall debacle, so that might be a reason to think SJU +2.5 is the way to go.

SJU 76
Creighton 71

I’ll take a break from the board for awhile if we lose this one cause I feel like this is really it for the season. Have to win. Hopefully I see you all on the other side :)

Also fwiw I’ve seen some post saying it’ll be tough to play in front of 17,000 loud fans.

It’s still a tough place to play, but I went to one of the creighton boards and saw them talking about how they’ve been getting less than 10,000 for much of the season and expect about 10,000 tonight

I think St Johns plays well tonight. Team has been humbled. A no-show tonight would speak volumes in a negative way about program. Not sure they win, but expect a good performance. #sjubb

Let’s hope Zach is half-right, that either the Johnnies play well and win, or that they play sloppy but win.
Lol.

Regardless whether we win tonight I think we should have a 20 win season. Hopefully it will be enough for the NIT.
Then next season Ponds, Heron and Simon return and with depth we go to the sweet 16.

On second point “bong” happy hour or Marillac hacked your account? :)

I think you said that in jest, but certainly feels like deja vu from January of last year.

The only difference is, next year we likely won't have at least 2 of Ponds/Heron/Simon.

Hopefully -15 with wind chill at tip keeps another couple thousand home in front of the fireplace.
