I'm curious how this game against a Atlantic Coast Conference opponent got scheduled?

It should be a competitive game. I've never seen them play.

I'm thinking the AD at one school called up the AD at the other school (maybe even zoomed) and they said you wanna play ;)

Boston College won a tight game against Rhode Island. 64-69.
BC game against St John's should be really good.

Anyone have any sort of scouting report on them strengths and weaknesses ?

Their leading scorer from first game Jay Heath was scratched 5 minutes before the game today with a foot injury. Might be tough for him to play on Monday.

Watched their 2 games so far and saw familiar face...Makai Ashton-Langford who spent 2 years at Providence.

BC is a real team. If we play like we have the last 2 games, we will get beat. Its time to start playing some real basketball.

First real litmus test game...need JC to have real shot IMO but would be very happy to be proven wrong. If he misses this game too, I'll be concerned.

Boston College has looked pretty good in their 2 games but they've got a few things they're stressing about heading into this game also.

Heath was their best player as a freshman last season and Tabbs was their best freshman in 18-19 but was out all of last year with an injury. This is the season they're excited to finally put Heath and Tabbs together in this 3-man backcourt with Ashton-Langford. So Heath being out wouldn't be insignificant. They're also waiting on a waiver for a pretty good transfer big from Lehigh. Sort of how we were for Dunn last year. Could come any day.

If they don't have Heath and Karnik for Monday they're not a very deep team. They beat Rhode Island tonight with that short bench and played Nova tough with Heath so we'll have to be ready but they're stressed about our upcoming game as well. As others have said will be a good early season test.

And his brother is there as well

Challenging game and nice one to get with tough December awaiting with only two very soft games.

I’ve watched BC twice. Challenging game but winnable. Perfect 3rd game of the season to measure the team IMO. Could go either way.

A friend’s son, Rich Kelly, Quinnipiac transfer guard & sharpshooter will also help BC’s perimiter game. Spunky player from Fairfield Prep.

This is the game we need to dial up our defense the way we expect to see it and get them tired. Bring Champs back and use our depth and pressure. Tough game but I’d really love to see us start season 3-0, regardless how we get there. I don’t see why we can’t win it if we are playing smarter ball and get closer to what we know cma’s teams play like. Defense has to drive the ship.

Defense definitely looked better with clearly more effort last game. We really need Champ back. These are the types of games in OOC the committee looks at to see who is deserving. They don't want to see you beat cupcakes only. Must have some name brand wins in there. BC isn't great, but they are respectable. If Champ does not play, it's going to be an uphill battle to get a W IMO. If we have him I think we have a solid shot. The good thing is BC has issues turning the ball over, so we should be smelling blood in water here. Don't seem to be great shooting team either, but then again everyone shoots well against us it seems.

Hope he's doing ok...

Myles Powell missed 2 games over 2+ full weeks when he went out with concussion last year.
