Postgame observations

Why Lavin redshirted Gift w this much uncertainty w Sanchez is beyond me.

For the umpteenth time because maybe he knows what options exist for 2013 and there isn't much he's confident in so stashing a 5th yr forward is the right move.

At the expense of this season?

How many wins do you think Gift will change for us? Honestly. And lets wait to see what happens if Sanchez is cleared or not

I would have to think Lavin has some clue to Sanchez' return, otherwise I agree with Tom's post. Just don't see enough height upfront without Sanchez or God's Gift.

We can only hope he comes on board

I would play the 5 guys who are playing the most intense defense and or are rebounding the ball. Exception is having to play Harrison for his offense and 3 pt shooting even though he doesn't look very interested in playing defense (don't know how you get him to be more intense on D other than maybe cutting his PT by a few minutes).

DLo was losing his man regularly but he does know how to draw offensive fouls and play passing lanes. He also boards well on occasion. He knows the game and is basically an asset most of the time. There's so much switching going on it's hard to tell who's responsible for whom. I think there needs to be more accountability all around. They say a good zone looks like man to man and good man to man looks like zone. At times ours doesn't look like anything until Sir Dom comes in and takes over up top. That seems to create an uptempo thing which changes things in our favor. Reminds me a little of Cjac's "D" but he didn't have much help. We're going to be real good when all the kinks get worked out though assuming we add Sanchez or Gift ASAP.

And we saw how C-Jac's offensive game developed after 4 years. Granted against lesser comp, but still enough to get a cup of coffee in the NBA (I believe?). I think that Dom has the potential to be even a superior defender to C-Jack because of Dom's size/length.

Coach should have him shoot 500 foul shots per day

Agreed... i'm not sure the ball is rotating off his fingers the right way on the release. You can watch the ball during its flight - the ball isn't rotating nicely.
