Mullin isn’t holding anything back. The kid drawing up the plays on the white board hasn't finished his term paper yet and Mullin gave him an extension until after Christmas.
Clark set a brutal back screen that led to an alley oop. It was clearly a designed play, and that is the kind of thing I think we'l see more off. The announcers kept repeating that Mullin will start to unveil things for conference play that nobody has seen yet. That back screen in particular is there 3-4 times a game and just so tough to defend given how wide and strong Clark is and how closely you have to defend guys like Heron and Figueroa as well as Simon on cuts.
I am also impressed with Trimble's range the last two games. He's hit two BOMBS from 5 feet behind the line and it was pure and effortless. You can't defend that. I think it's a better shot for him that a rushed or contended shot on the line, and hit 1-2 of those and spacing will be amazing.
The best I have seen a Johnnie team play offense in years. The team did what they had to do, and got better at it the closer to the conference schedule they got. On the broadcast last night, it was mentioned that Mullin is holding back certain sets for the conference season. Interesting.
Now watch Shamorie look for his shot more as the games get tougher. He'll be going up against two of the best three guards in the league in the first two. I have a feeling he elevates his game starting against the hall.

Can anyone summarise the defence? It looks like they shot the ball well. Hopefully with Keita coming back we can clean up the rebounding. It’s great to see that Williams and Roberts getting minutes and coming along. Hopefully by season end they can be counted on for 8-10 mins a game when needed and carry that over into next year when they will be needed more.
I think what we are seeing from Williams and Roberts are what most fans were wanting all along. 8-10 minutes per game to give our starters a break and star contributing. It has helped us already and Roberts and Williams have already gotten a little more comfortable. Last two games effort was much better.
We may be getting 8 - 10 minutes from Williams but not Roberts. He got into the game with a 20 plus lead with just under 4 minutes left. Don't expect to see him much once the B.E. season begins.
