This was a very sloppy game. The two teams combined for enough turnovers to fill a bakery. My ears are still ringing from all of the whistles that were blown for the fouls that were committed on both sides.

Did we not play well because we played less than 17 hours after the St. Peter's game ended? Sure. Did we miss Dunn and Champ? Definitely. Regardless, we played with effort but it was far from a good performance. Roberts, Toro, Caraher and McGriff have not impressed in the limited time that they played. I'm starting to wonder how deep this team really is.

Having seen BC play Villanova last night, we need to play much better than we did against St. Peter's and LaSalle to have a shot against them.
What happened to Toro, another big bust like Steer?

Roberts had a pretty good game considering he's probably around 8 on the team
In 16minutes 4pnts, 4boards, 4 stla, 2blcks..
He controbuted atleast.
Toro didn't do much yesterday, but I still see him as a big upgrade over Sears.
I want to see more rebounding from him but did like his agility and use of left hand in first 2 games.

When he gets pulled out to perimeter on defense, his lack of foot speed is exposed

You have to remember that this is essentially a rookie team. Two games doesn't make a season. We can't point to our past teams right now. We have to realize that our opponents have gotten better. I'm happy with the progress we have made so far. Give the guys a chance to grow. I think we will be okay.
The analysts have us pegged at #9 in the Big East. We are what we are but we are going to surprise a lot of people before the season is over.

Vince Cole named Lapchick Tournament MVP. That's quite a impressive debut for a JUCO transfer.

Cole led the Red Storm in scoring on back-to-back days, netting 21 points in the Wednesday win over Saint Peter's before going for 19 on Thanksgiving afternoon against La Salle. During the season opener, Cole sank eight of his 12 field goal tries, including a 5-for-6 showing from three-point range. The two-time NJCAA All-American led the Red Storm to a comeback victory in his first Division I game, scoring five points in the final 18 seconds to erase a four-point deficit. The following afternoon against Saint Peter's, Cole led all scorers with 19 points in addition to tallying five boards, a game-high four assists and three steals.
Everything coming out from SJU says we won the Lapchick Tournament. What if we went 1-1. Who would have won?
Flip a coin.
