(POST GAME) LaSalle, Thur., Nov. 26, 2p, FS1 / 970 AM WNYM

Still really sloppy with the ball and on defense, but improvement was shown from yesterday to today. Need Champagnie back in a bad way for Boston College, seen them last night against Villanova, they are solid.
Announcers said Dunn is currently in hospital with a concussion, didn't know where he was at last night, sounds like he could be out a while, that really sucks, feel bad for him it's already a shorter senior year for him, and his season was shorter last year do to getting eligible.

"Galvascan" - over the counter med for "reflux" stressed out games
and as you state...
Safe tonight lol

Also I mean this in a good way. Wusu is about as shy on the court as Monte is at a bar with chicks. I definitely underestimated Wusu

Right now we go 7 deep, roberts ga very a good 17minutes
Toro gave just 10, and McGriff just 9 minutes.
Id say they're the 8th &9th guys.

Hope champ makes them a lot better vs. BC.

Nice win to start the season.

The new players are looking good. Glad to see McGriff got a little playing time. Sitting out his first season was a tough way to enter college basketball. Hoping that he develops into a solid player. It'll take a lot of time to get him there. I don't expect very much from McGriff this year.

I hope Dunn is doing ok. He came down so hard in the opening game. He may need a month to fully recover. Depends on his concussion symptoms. They can be really severe.

I had a feeling he has a concussion and was also worried he did some other damage to his jaw as they kept looking at it during a late timeout Wednesday when he was on the sideline.

IMO, Wusu should get the minutes Caraher would ordinarily get. He is only a freshman and already better.

All in all you have to be happy they won by double digits without Dunn and Champagnie

Much better in the 2nd half. Ran the offense better, better concentration on rebounding
.

Agreed, I think Wusu has been better than Williams. I've been impressed with his composure, and I love the way he attacks the rim, once he feels out the college game more, he's going to be a nightmare to stop when he gets a full head of steam going towards the rim.

I'd like to see Williams come off the bench. There would be a lot less pressure on him to produce and it might help his confidence.

This was a very sloppy game. The two teams combined for enough turnovers to fill a bakery. My ears are still ringing from all of the whistles that were blown for the fouls that were committed on both sides.

Did we not play well because we played less than 17 hours after the St. Peter's game ended? Sure. Did we miss Dunn and Champ? Definitely. Regardless, we played with effort but it was far from a good performance. Roberts, Toro, Caraher and McGriff have not impressed in the limited time that they played. I'm starting to wonder how deep this team really is.

Having seen BC play Villanova last night, we need to play much better than we did against St. Peter's and LaSalle to have a shot against them.

Thought he played well and was confident today. Taking him out of the starting lineup might hurt his confidence if anything.

This team is super athletic and extremely quick on both sides. Defensively, they will need to tighten it up and not over commit as higher quality competition will exploit this type of play. This will improve as the season progresses and more film is watched and half court defense becomes a focal point in practice. Offensively, having Champ will help them significantly in the half court sets. They need to turn it down a notch on offense and kick the ball as well as exploit pull up jumpers rather than off balance finishes. Again, this will improve as the season and competition expands. The level of talent is high. They are like a wild horse now that needs to be turned into a more disciplined race horse.

Yes MR
Maybe we will be pleasantly surprised in game #3 - maybe play up to the competition (?)
but starting 2-0 is nice to see.
