A crowd of five thousand at MSG doesn’t produce an exciting atmosphere but considering the match up of mediocre teams, COVID still running rampant and the NFL playing playoff football it wasn’t that bad.
SJU should avoid playing games at MSG on NFL playoff days.
I'm sure NFL had something to do with it but  definitely Covid like you mentioned I think was big too. I couldnt find 1 taker for my tickets. No-one wanted to take a chance with covid just yet
Believe it or not, it didn't feel like a horribly small crowd.   I have eaten a lot of tickets this season because of Covid.   It seems that there are more people and families sick with Covid than at any time in the past - nearly all vaccinated also.
Totally agree about so many people with covid. Nathalies mom got covid a second time last week and she was double vaxxed and boosted. No way can I go to any games till after our wedding feb 2.  Seriously considering making people take rapids as they arrive and even that isnt close to full proof.

Holy crap!   You got engaged about the same time as my daughter, and that was 2011?  Congratulations.   I never mentioned it to you again since you never mentioned setting a date, but still, big congratulations.

Haaaa thanks and great memory by you, We got engaged on 12-2-12 at Nat's favorite winery in Sonoma.  So now wedding will be 2-2-22.  Literally just got the marriage license last week and I surprised her with her dream wedding place. Doing very small group because of Covid. 50-60 people

Thanks Much Appreciated !

She has certainly had plenty of time to change her mind - at least she knows what she's getting into.  /media/kunena/emoticons/cool.png

She's pretty much endured 17 years of St Johns misery with me. They might have to put a statue of her next to the arena like the one of that girl in front of the stock exchange.  We even lost 2 days after we got engaged when we were out in San Fransico for the game on that trip . I think we lost. Was so long ago the losses just blend in

So where is it being held? Some of us might like to crash but don't worry though we'll bring a gift you know something like Yankee Candles or something. /media/kunena/emoticons/wink.png/media/kunena/emoticons/smile.png  Seriously though congratulations and best of luck, health and happiness to you and your beautiful bride (the one the only Natalie)!

Thanks I really appreciate it. A lot of us have known each other for so long and so many of you guys are personal friends mine you have been a huge part of my life the last 20 something years. A lot of you have met Nathalie whether it be at games or events or out socially or on vacations and road trips (  Heck like I mentioned we got engaged on a detour on the St Johns road trip to San Francisco in 2012 and Ted Raczok here and his wife we were meeting them in Napa before going to the game and they were literally the first ones to find out we got engaged the day before. They knew even before our families )

Whether it's good times or bad times this site isnt just a hoops outlet for me it's a place to come talk to my friends, I wish we didnt have this covid crap because then we would have planned a huge wedding 2 years ago and thenI could have had a lot of you guys there. But there will be a time once this covid crap dwindles for us to celebrate with all my friends here after a game.

Thanks to Paul for giving us a website where I have made so many friends and thanks to each of you for your friendships words would never do justice to what you guys mean to me

While I hate to think you might be rushing into this I still wish you and Nat all the continued luck and love in the world.

Oheka Castle great venue for a wedding. My sister had her wedding there but it was in September so she had the ceremony outside and came in in a horse drawn carriage. Had my first date with my wife at this event.

Congrats, Mike! Wishing you all the best on your wedding day and for decades to come. (Will you toast the bride with Bronx Pale Ale?)

Wow! Congrats to you and your wife to be, Mike. All the best for much happiness, good health and good times.  I will lift an IPA in your honor on February 2!
