Positives to think about after this game for the season

We had our chances. Most importantly for me though our effort was up dramatically and if we play with this intensity and keep improving on the defense we will win our share of Big East games. Sucks to lose but this one isn't going to eat at me. I'm more hopeful tonight about the rest of the season

He seems like a St John's type player - hard nose on ball defender, high motor, maybe a weeee bit out of control at times.

I mean this positively. I think this could have been said about Sir Dom and DJ Kennedy too.

First positive, I didn’t go near the game thread. Certainly won’t be wandering over now.

Personally I rather they won but can’t be very upset about taking UCONN down to the wire at their place. Luis flashed serious potential again and this wasn‘t an intrasquad game or Sacred Heart. Defense looks seriously improved and almost won them a game where the offense struggled. Keep playing defense game in and game out and the wins will take care of themselves. Have to figure NET will actually improve.

God, after listening to Anderson talk the last few years, Pitino is a breath of fresh air. They’re not even in the same stratosphere.

The positive from tonight is Luis looks like an absolute stud. This is the first time I’ve seen him in a game and his feet are faster than I expected.

He was extremely rusty, but he looks like our best NBA prospect since Harkless.
