Ponds Evaluation

Nothing at all to be surprised about with the experts evaluation. We were told the same thing for months by the experts on this board whom I have more faith in. He is a 2 guard in a pg's body. He looks to score first , which he was required to do at Jefferson, and shoots the ball well. I never expected him to be our point guard going forward but rather someone who could give us minutes at the 1 if needed to.
I expect this year to be a big adjustment for Ponds , Lovett, Bashir and Richard but believe they will all be good in a year from now.
A nice upgrade in talent over Félix, Ron M, Durand and Christian. Just don't expect the freshmen to be stars out of the gate.

I agree Aubie. Expectations must be tempered for the upcoming season as we integrate several more new pieces into the system. An NIT bid would be a very good outcome for the 2016-17 squad.

However, when you factor in the year of experience our "newbies' will get this season, combined with the additions of our two transfers, who will be practicing with the team and getting involved in our strength and conditioning program, the 2017-18 team should be primed to make an NCAA run
